LiveLiveLive! Issue 28 is live! "Editing issue 28, I felt something similar to the way I feel near water: I dove into my own private world. The world above the surface kept roaring, of course. The notifications, deadlines, the constant noise was always there. But inside the work, inside these poems and stories and artwork, there was a quiet that felt entirely mine. A place where I could breathe differently." ---Jessica Ballen, Editor in Chief Head over to https://lunchticket.org/ to read the latest issue! #mfacreativewriting #literarymagazine #cnf #fiction #poetry #flash #visualart #writing #youngadultwriting #translation #litmag by @lunchticket

🚀 For almost thirty years, the Antioch MFA program has been Creating Space for writers to tell their stories. Our founder, Eloise Klein Healy, envisioned a unique program that uplifts writers and reflects our motto of "Community, Not Competition." For many students, receiving a scholarship through the Eloise Klein Healy Fund (EKH) made the difference between attending the program and growing as a writer, or not attending at all. 💜 We need your help. The majority of our students come to us with greater financial need. Please donate what you can. Your gifts make it possible for us to continue Creating Space for new voices to thrive. ✨ This year, our goal is to raise $25,000 from 100 donors, and MFA alum Li Quintana has generously agreed to match donations! Every dollar donated (up to $25,000) will be matched if donated by December 31, 2026. 🎉 Thank you to everyone who has already donated. Due to the generous support of 39 donors, we are already 87% of the way to our $25,000 goal! Go to the Donate to the EKH MFA Scholarship Fund or to link in bio to help us reach and exceed our goal! #AntiochMFA #CreatingSpace #EKHFund #SupportWriters #CreativeWritingCommunity by @lunchticket
✨ This week, our Writer Wednesday Spotlight goes to poet and Antioch MFA special guest Jenny Factor! 📚 Jenny Factor is an archaeologist of object and mind; she is also a feminist, a mother, and a dog-lover. Her poem collection, Want the Lake, is forthcoming from Red Hen Press in Fall 2024. Her first collection, Unraveling at the Name (Copper Canyon Press), won a Hayden Carruth Award and was a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award. ✍🏽 Factor’s poems and reviews have appeared in more than a dozen anthologies, including Poetry 180 and The Best American Erotic Poems (Scribner, 2008). Her work has been supported by an Astraea Grant in poetry. 🎓 Jenny Factor is a doctoral candidate in English at Brandeis University, and received her MFA in Literature from Bennington College, and her B.A. in Anthropology from Harvard University. 🌟 She serves as Lecturer in Poetry at Caltech, and is a former core faculty member and frequent visitor to the MFA in Creative Writing program at Antioch University Los Angeles, where she still strongly supports the program’s dual emphasis on literature and social justice. 💜 We’re excited to welcome Jenny Factor as a special guest in poetry for our December 2026 Residency! ✍🏽 Want to join a community of incredible writers like Jenny Factor?
