My first official film gig as a co- producer, d.o.p. and editor!

Mo @mohammed_salihuu contacted me to bring his poetry and story to life.

As an immigrant myself I felt taken by the script straight away and I am so glad to have taken up this project.

Me and Mo worked really well together, bouncing off each other ideas and shooting just over 10 scenes in 1 day and a couple of locations.

Big thanks to also actress and on set assistant when my hands were too full @aitiyah_ 🦋✨️

Big shout to @sketchybeats as our main location 🪷

This short will be screened at the Filmhouse this saturday the 20th of June at 1pm 🎉 by @luonset

Was an extra/set assistant for this rlly cool noir dream like one shot sequence directed by @m_pedrinha_

Was also v cool to see @lukasz_krzysztof_augustyniak camera action w the gimbal

We had to coordinate movements , blocking and so on with cards, masks, people appearing on and off frame.

So much can be done without special fx so it was really cool to see how people get resourceful.

Even on multimillion dollar series like Sense 8, they preferred to do blocking and tucking characters in frame to swap them in the same shot instead of doing special fx. Great way to rely on the magic of acting and coordination rather than digital shortcuts. by @luonset

I was an extra on this rlly cool queer horror short called @gum__short !

Very excited to see the finished product - the crew was on point and it was rlly interesting to see their creative ways to get some dancefloor shots.

Met sm rlly cool people who also worked on the Del Toro's Frankestein set - sharing their knowledge.

Being at Bongo during the day and not from the night before was weird ahah

Note to self : don't say yes to smoking as an extra or u' ll end up smoking hundreds of fags for continuity lol by @luonset

On set of " Videology " a short we created w my course group at Screen Education Edinburgh.

Videology shows a day in the life of Charlie, a deaf character - from his pov.

I am so proud for this to be the first short film I take part in making.

I did the storyboard, camera op, various assistance, boom recording, directing the final scenes and I edited a few scenes on Adobe Premiere.

We did our first screening at the North Edinburgh Arts and it has been selected to be part of the Edinburgh Shorts Showcase on the 25th of June at the Cameo 8pm! by @luonset
