Aproveitei o pôr do sol de cima do motorhome. 🌅🚐

🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 A little more about the pig and cow farm. 🐷🐄🌾

I enjoyed the sunset from the top of my motorhome. 🌅🚐

I love having the opportunity to experience a little more of the real Canada — its farms, rural properties and, most of all, the people who live and work there. Most hosts love showing you around, explaining how things work and sharing a little bit of their everyday life.

Through Harvest Hosts, I’ve already stayed at apple farms, duck farms, wineries, golf courses, and other places. Little by little, I’ll share some of them here — I think they’ll make some great #TBTs. 😊

For those who don’t know, Harvest Hosts is a platform that connects RV travelers with farms, wineries, and other properties that offer a place to stay overnight. Most of the time, there’s no fee for the stay — instead, guests are encouraged to support their hosts by purchasing a local product or service.

🇨🇦 🇨🇦🇨🇦A few posts ago, I shared the alpaca farm where I stayed with my motorhome. 🦙🌿 This time, the experience was quite different: I spent the night at a pig and cow farm. 🐷🐄

The farm raises animals for meat: they receive them when they’re still young, raise and fatten them, and later sell the meat. There are also bulls and cows on the property.

I have to admit, this experience affected me a little… I felt quite uneasy when I learned that the animals never leave the barn. During the Canadian winter, with all the cold, I could understand it — but I was surprised to learn that they don’t go outside even in the summer. 🥺

But one of the interesting things about life on the road is experiencing different realities — including the ones that make us stop and think.

Since I stayed there through Harvest Hosts, the idea is to support your host by purchasing something in exchange for the stay. This time, I came back to the motorhome with a few cuts of meat from the farm — and another experience to add to this life on the road. 🚐🌾

🇧🇷🇧🇷Eu adoro estar sozinha nos parques, curtindo a natureza e a minha própria companhia. 🌿💚

🇨🇦 🇨🇦 I love being on my own in the parks, enjoying nature and my own company. 🌿💚

But one of the things I love most about Canada is seeing how much outdoor life is truly part of the culture.

Here at Laurel Creek, all you have to do is look around: teenagers sharing a stand-up paddleboard, couples enjoying the lake, a white-haired woman paddling on her own, people stepping out of their motorhomes to spend the day by the water, another couple cooking a full meal right by the lake… 🏄‍♀️🚐🥘

Age or activity doesn’t really matter. People simply go outside and live outdoors.

And there is an entire infrastructure that makes this possible: parks, trails, lakes, campgrounds, picnic areas… spaces that invite people to make nature part of their everyday lives.

I find it beautiful to see how Canada values, encourages and creates opportunities for people to spend time outdoors. 🇨🇦🌲

🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦Some days we plan. And some days simply happen… and end up becoming the ones we’ll remember forever.

That’s exactly what yesterday was. ❤️

Another weekend discovering a little piece of rural Canada. This time, I stayed at an apple farm with beautiful orchards, a lovely cidery, and a charming shop filled with apple products.

A refreshing breeze, live music right in my own backyard, and an afternoon simply enjoying the moment.

By the end of the day, I realized that the best memories are often the ones created by life’s little surprises. 🍎🇨🇦

🇨🇦🇨🇦Laundry day. 🧺🚐

Living in an RV isn’t just about sunsets, lakes, and beautiful views.

Today was laundry day. And honestly… even doing laundry comes with an amazing view.

I’m staying at Albion Hills Conservation Area, where there’s a simple coin-operated laundromat that’s easy to use.

One thing that always stands out to me is the level of trust. People start a load, go about their day, and come back later to pick it up. Everyone respects each other’s time by not leaving clothes in the machines longer than necessary, and no one worries that someone will touch their laundry.

It’s these little everyday moments that make life on the road so special.

Not every day is an adventure. Sometimes it’s just an ordinary chore… in an extraordinary place. ❤️🚐🍃

No dia seguinte, ela voltou.

🇨🇦Not every day of motorhome life is filled with perfect sunsets and peaceful roads.

Sometimes it means canceling your plans, leaving a beautiful campground because the internet isn’t working, and I have to work !! Packing up the entire motorhome… only to find that the awning won’t retract. Taking a deep breath, crying for a few minutes… and then realizing you can solve it all on your own.

But the journey isn’t over yet. There’s still nearly two hours of driving through the rain before finally reaching a new park, finding a working internet connection, blue skies… and a curious groundhog that decided to welcome me. The next day, she came back.

That’s life on the road.

One day, it feels like everything has gone wrong.

The next, you realize you were simply being guided to the right place.

⸻

🇺🇸Today, my backyard is an alpaca farm. 🦙❤️

One of the best things about living in a motorhome is that you can change your backyard whenever you want.

Here in Canada and the United States, there’s an app that lets you spend the night on farms in exchange for supporting local producers by purchasing something they make.

So far, I’ve stayed on pig farms, apple orchards, cherry farms, and wineries… and every place has a different story to tell. I’ll be sharing them with you little by little.

Today, my neighbors are these alpacas. This farm is home to 21 of them, and two were born just last week—they’re the tiny ones you can see in the video. 🥹

Agora, partiu Toronto! Novas paisagens, novas histórias… Aos poucos, vou compartilhando tudo por aqui.

🇨🇦🇨🇦 I live in a little home on wheels because I love changing backyards. 🚐💚

But sometimes life calls for staying in one place for a while. This farm in Blue Mountain, about 200 km north of Toronto, belongs to a couple of friends and has been my home for the past two months.

I’m so grateful for their kindness and hospitality. Thank you so much, Chris and Lisa! ❤️

Now, off to Toronto! New places, new stories… I’ll be sharing them with you little by little.
