Happy “new year”!

I hope you’ve all had a beautiful festive period, saturated with belly laughs, joy and moments of love and reverence.

Deep winter is all around us, yet I feel a bright spark of life has emerged.

Quite fitting as I pulled the star as my card of 2026.

She brings the message of taking in all that shines in the darkness. Understanding that both night and the darkness hold so much life.
Bringing a whole heap of metaphors that I can ponder on 😄✨

To appreciate the winter moments and taking note of the glimmers that I want to flourish in the daylight hours.

Have you ever wished on a star?

They come to remind us of our dreams and hopes for the future.

The star brings fourth the reminder of the importance to shine our light. To be a beacon in the world so we can connect to our constellations, so we can dot to dot with others that amplify our greatness, our love, our joy and our light.

Shine for you, yes, of course, but shine so that others know you’re there too.

Not in a way of planned showcased moments, but in a way of lived realness. No artificial man made light, just the glow and twinkle that we carry within all of us.

Unlike stars, I wish to hear and know your light in this lifetime. I don’t want it to take light years to be shared or to felt. And vice versa.

I wish to read more of your words and thoughts.

I wish to lay eyes upon more art made by you and your hands.

I wish to listen to your wildest dreams, whether that’s in person or through a screen.

I speak these words to you but also to myself I guess.

So if you’ve read this far, welcome to an after bath thought of mine, one of mannnnyyy.

A reflection of the Star.

A source of inspiration, dreams and success.

May your winter be crisp and clear, so you connect with your inner most visions and wishes for this year ahead.

May you tilt your head back every now and again on a clear night to be reminded of the wonder that lay above and within.

May your 2026 start as it means to go on, with your essence reflected back to you through one way or another.

May the feelings you wish to feel this year find you with ease.

Do you ever get random thoughts pop up especially in the bath?

It has me feeling like rev run typing on my phone mid bathtime 🛁🫧

I have a somewhat collection of random thoughts that choose to spill out of me via my notes app.

Normally forgetting about them until I go looking for a random recipe within a note buried beneath these kind of thoughts 🤪

Anyway, bring back the grandness.

Let’s reawaken our words that lay dormant, give compliments rooted in nature, describe people with the depth they deserve.

What I thought was a stepping stone away from doom scrolling / a companion on my commute, has actually pushed me into actually reading and consuming things that light me up online. It has lead me to copious amounts of awe inspiring writings by some wonderful people on the internet.

I’m the type of person that has 6 books on the go at once, it’s a rarity that I finish a book in under a month. Albeit for the few I don’t put down for days until they’re finished, random hyperfixations on quantum physics as of recent ✨🫠

Substack is a new and glorious world for me. A place that expands my perspective and ability to consume words that widen my views, inspire my actions and challenge myself within my beliefs, mind, love and creativity.

Daydreaming of my happy place whilst being landlocked in the city 🥵🧜‍♀️

Sum up of my life rn: Handheld fan is my new bestie (thanks @elliebrown2.0 for the pressie), current hyperfixation food: cucumbers, non stop sweat (nothing new, sweaty gal 24/7) and livin’ on hopes & dreams (always)🙂🤪

Excited for my last month here and the magic that’ll follow. Grateful to know a life of deep devotion to the waters. She brings me back to myself time and time again, whether in the sea or shower.

I’ve been reminded of the ways I used to connect to her when I lived here before. Long ritual baths, reading about her, charging my water, guiding my mind to shorelines in meditation, working with crystals and shells, the list goes on. I’m back in the deep world within, finding the ocean in whatever way I can each day.

Anyone from home reading this, send my love and a lil wave to the sea from me 🩵

I hope you’re all doing okay in this heat, it’s no joke. Check on your near and dear and help out people who may need it. Keep an eye on your animals and the lil wild ones too ✨🫶🌊🌀 by @luseabaker

Summer solstice blessings to you all 🌞✨🌼

I spent the day in the park under an oak, reading, weaving flowers, pulling cards on questions I’ve been pondering, listening to music, thinking of Dad, people watching and soaking in the sun.

Last year Merl and I got up to watch the sunrise from the stones.

It’s beautiful to be able to find myself and my differing ways of connecting to the land and my magic no matter where I may be.

To somehow weave into my day the practices that I love. To hold and cherish feelings and memories that I hold dear whilst weaving more through little sunshine flowers.

On this longest day I hope you’ve found yourself and your sunshine 🌞

I hope this longest day has poured life into you and whatever you needed pouring into.

May you see yourself in the beauty of the world around you, no matter how big or small 🌼✨🌞
