Some advice:

Always take the picture.

Always record the at bat.

Smile. Be present. They really Value that.

Cheer their teammates on. It does matter.

Take deep breaths just before the National Anthem.

Close your eyes & pray for them (a simple one sentence one) just before the song gets to the 2nd chorus.

Embrace them as soon as they are available too before, in between & after.

Oh &

TRUST THE F’N PROCESS, it does work out the way it’s supposed too. Just sometimes not how “you” may have wanted it too.

& That’s OK!

Round 72 of 2026 (road to even Update)

For the past 6-7 weeks I have definitely been either really good or really bad. (More bad than good)

It’s just like that sometimes. I have felt very good with my irons, all while struggling with distance control. My driver & ability to get off the tee was the sole focus today. As it has been a nightmare since I got the new driver in the bag. (1st day with it I shot +1 round @ Bartley & things have not been the same since)

So I finally managed to push my ego to the side & Had a lesson this morning:

Focusing on tempo with driver, woods, 2 iron & it made some things really click for me. I have to focus on my tempo & feel of the club that’s in my hands.

After a great 45 mins session, I then teed off & got in a solid 3 hour 17 min round of 50% fairways & 66% of Greens in regulation.

Best Hole: #12 par 5

- Driver 317 yd
- 7 iron from 177 yd
- stuck shot #2 hole high on the green, Eagle putt & sank it

Definitely a morale booster.

This game continues to challenge me in ways baseball never did. It really F’s with your attitude & confidence constantly. These early mornings give me time to reflect on my teams, players & staff how can we all be better athletes. Not just my game but my coaching one.

This is what I leave with today, continue to just SHOW UP w/ INTENT & good things will happen.

Circle of Winners!

Big Congrats to our U-17 squad for capturing the @fivetoolcalifornia World Series in sweeping fashion. The group went 5-0 on the week/end outscoring their opponents 33 runs to 8 total in the five games.

These young men really stepped up to the plate after having to adjust our schedule for the two groups (‘27/‘28 class). Total record of 20-4.

A lot of positive vibes and opportunities on the horizon for these dudes.

Huge shoutout to our entire staff on a job well done!

Congratulations!

Roster Announcements for the 2026-2027 High School Prep roster with Best Speed Baseball are officially underway. As we head into year 17 we look forward to getting started on all of our players journey’s.

Our organization has a long standing commitment to developing our student athletes both on & off the field. Im personally extremely excited to see the blend of old & new players whom we know will get better in the game they LOVE!

Circle of Winners!!!

Congratulations to our 2029 Elite (Smith) & our UpperClass Elite (Smith/Mendonsa) groups. Both Teams went 5-0 down in Orange County this holiday weekend & absolutely put on a show!

Phenomenal pitching, timely hitting, Total Team Efforts all around. We were able to mix in some bonding time at the Angels games, Team lunches& dinners.

Travel Safe back to Sac and we get back to work Tuesday. What a great start to July & The dog days of summer Fellas!
