CRIP QUEER HORIZONTAL SINGING AND SOUNDING LAB

lutzz&bog. and Gloria Amesbauer invite you to a gentle, inclusive, and embodied listening and sounding lab. We especially welcome crip*, sick, trans*, queer, neurodivergent, disabled and otherwise marginalised bodies—creating a space where we can sit, listen, be with and give voice to our experiences.

The gathering is a participatory workshop, moving towards a horizontal research lab, exploring somatic sounding scores, deep listening practices that encourage connection with ourselves and each other. We try out and co-create practices that explore the potential of sounding, singing, humming, shouting, voicing as liberatory practices, self-soothing, release, and potentially healing tools, resonating our bodies and shared spaces. This event in an invitation to hold each other in care, move at a slow and attuned pace, rest, and witness.

The SOUNDING LAB hopes to provide a warm space for connections among fellow crip, queer and marginalized bodies, and develop emancipatory tools, practices together that might be passed on.

lutzz&bog is an invisibly disabled, white, eastern-european trans* artist and organiser, with a long standing practice with the ecological, embodied cripqueerness, collectivity, connectivity, and the corporeality of sound.

Gloria Amesbauer is a white, queer, disabled and neurodivergent musician, composer and vocal teacher, formerly inspired by bikes and motion, now milking inspiration mostly from bed, communicating in hums.

Accessicorn in the landscape of self-organised groups

The Accessicorn is a legendary creature that offers small gestures of care (making tea, opening windows), holds an awareness of the group dynamics (asymmetries, needs for breaks) and serves as a first contact person for emerging individual access needs.

The biological ancestry of the Accessicorn are access doulas and consenticorns that morph between crip parties in NYC and London.

This is one story.

🕯️two sessions of NADA protocol ear acupuncture, combined with live mycelial biodata sonification soundscapes, for a horizontal listening and resting session.

🍄 during each session we will be listening to sounds produced by live mycelium at frequencies proven to be beneficial for human health, while sitting/laying down in a comfortable position, with up to 5 acupuncture needles applied in each ear for a maximum of 45 minutes.

👉 first session: 5.00-6.15pm
👉 second session: 6.30-7.45pm
each session can accommodate ~7 people.

👂NADA protocol is a simple five-point ear sequence made to reset the organism. the NADA protocol was developed as part of a radical movement, led by Dr. Mutulu Shakur, that sought to end heroin addiction in communities of colour with acupuncture, famously practised by the Black Panther's and Young Lords in community detox centres.
this acupuncture supports well-being and sleep, and is good for letting go of many kinds of dependencies and toxic situations - from stress, fatigue, burnout, to individualism.

accessibility and info for the sessions:
* the event is on the 5th floor, there is stepless elevator access
* there is a wheelchair accessible bathroom
* low lighting
* mostly non-verbal event
* biodata sonification sounds
* sitting/laying down options, pillows, some blankets provided

🌿Our last event for this year was two healing and resting sessions of NADA ear acupuncture, supported by sonic frequencies from live mycelium, convened by @lutzifer____

We honour the legacy of activists from the black and Puerto Rican communities from 70s New York, who pioneered this protocol, offering free and quality health services to their people, in order to combat addictions and trauma.

This initiative viewed health and healing as intertwined with political liberation, creating a community-based system of care.

Thank you @lutzifer____ for these sessions and all who joined🕯️

NADA ear acupuncture x mycelium sonic support

🌿In response to the devastating impact of heroin addiction in their communities in the 1970s, the Black Panther Party and the Young Lords organized, established and pioneered at the Lincoln Detox Center in the South Bronx, NYC, the use of 5NP ear acupuncture as a treatment. This led to the development of the National Acupuncture Detox Association (NADA) protocol, also known as the 5 Needle Protocol.
This initiative viewed health and healing as intertwined with political liberation, creating a community-based system to provide care where the government failed.

🪷Acknowledging the legacy of Black activists and healers who brought acupuncture as a healing tool for black and brown communities, @lutzifer____ offered yesterday two sessions of NADA ear acupuncture, supported by healing sonic frequencies produced by mycelial. Treatments were delivered in a non-verbal, group setting to foster a sense of community and collective support.
