It’s kinda like this. The Padres are the heartbreakers who show up when you least expect it. You Shake your head and say, “Well, I need a good run, so let’s go.”
You turn around and before you know it, they’ve stolen your heart. You allow it.
Truth be told, the underdog bad boys are way more fun than the big city slicker teams with endless payroll and jaded expectations.
The countless thrills are a thousand times better than a ring. Where else can you go to lunch at The Kebab House and run into Boche and the coaches during the World Series run? Ever so polite and sweet.
Watching Kevin Brown come in as a reliever during NLCS against Atlanta.
The unexpected defeat of The Dodgers during the playoffs in 2022.
Little Quilvio Vera’s hitting the sweet spot just behind shortstop. His RBIs were insane.
Fins, Crime Dawg, Jake P, Trevor Hoffman’s thighs, Caminiti, Going, going Vaughn, those summer nights behind the old bullpen when some vendor would host us for all the beers and food. The usher would say, “Now don’t talk. to the players.” Lol. Hell, They were talking to us first. 🤣
Getting to sit in the Cox box right next to the owners’s box, glancing over and seeing Kenny Loggins sitting there. Running over to intercept him and getting an autograph. He was super chill. Would that happen in LA?

Cherokee has never really experienced Mommy during playoff baseball. In 2022, I lived half a mile from the ballpark and was able to get tickets to our playoff games, so I saw it live. My hope is that she will experience mommy’s rabid fan era. I want to yell and scream and dance in delight. Bring it, Padres! by @luv12jazz

LFGSD!!!!!!!!!!!
Throwing it back to 1998 and this song was the song played EVERY night during NLCS right before the team came out. The whole place was jamming, rally towels were flying and it was loud and awesome. Let’s go boys! @Padres #Padres by @luv12jazz

Thank you, Maurice and Allee Willis for this song! I like to imagine Allee and Maurice White slapping up in heaven and everybody’s dancing their arses off!
I nearly forgot, and I’ve been so busy and then I remembered it’s 21 September and I can’t go out tonight so I just danced my ass off in the garage while I cleaned and no, you don’t get to watch.
