What’s up friends!

Got some new music out today on bandcamp. This was from a jam session earlier this week. Wanted to get this music out into the world fast and create some good in my local community. Will be donating all proceeds from sales made this October to @angieforfl senate campaign. It’s also bandcamp Friday today (10/2) so if you buy it today bandcamp doesn’t take a cut of the sale. Angie is the real deal and we want to support the campaign any way we can. Keep on pushin Angie! Thank you for the support, hope you enjoy the sounds. -alex

Another 🔥 $2 record! Always gotta check these random 12” to see who was the remixer and this one happens to be the legend Shep Pettibone. This is the extended mix but the dub is cool too.

Last month we had our first @majikcarpetsessions party over at @thefridgemurrayhill. After the love we got from the neighborhood we decided to run it back the last Friday of this month! FRIDAY AUG 28 7-close we are back in Murray Hill with our friends over at The Fridge! There is no cover charge for this party but please bring good energy and respect your fellow attendees & the staff. Please share this flyer with anybody you think might be interested!

@soultek.7 returns after a triumphant debut set last month. This time we start a little earlier at 7 where frequent collaborator who is new to IG (go follow his new page!) @heyitsethanagain will start the night with a special set of eclectic sounds. We are also joined by @yufa43 making his debut with host @luvcreatexplore rounding out the crew for the night. See u there 🎺

Shibuya has transitioned to the next level… It’s been really tough over here the last few weeks as our girl Shibuya has been struggling with health issues. She passed away on Thursday and it’s so weird to come home and her not be around. She had a beautiful death surrounded by family going peacefully in her sleep which is all any of us can ask for. Almost 14 years together is a long time, I’m grateful for all the memories and times we shared.

Was at the record fair the other week and it was the day we actually made the decision to end Shibuya’s suffering so was mentally going through a lot. Found this Billy Cobham record and grabbed it as I have really been digging his music lately. I go home after and am listening to this record and this song “Early Libra” came on and I just lost it with emotion thinking about Shibuya and the limited time we had left. This one hit me hard in the emotions and I love when music does that but I probably can’t listen to this song or watch this video for a while at this point… but I wanted to create this video as a memorial for all the times we shared over the years. Rest in Peace Shibuya… we love you taken in Florida by @luvcreatexplore
