Graduated at 26 with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. My heart is proud since I thought I’d never finish.

But if there’s anything I’ve learned from the most trying years of my life so far, it is this: f*ck shame. There is no use for it. The longer you live in the shadows, the colder, lonelier, and hollower you become.

You’re deserving of all the good that lies on the other side being seen. And you will survive the ‘bad’ you fear is waiting for you too.

But you’ve got to stop running & hiding like something is after you. Nothing is coming. You’re simply right where you started because you haven’t moved enough. You’re stuck at the intersection of comfortable & miserable. And the only way out is through.

Show yourself the unconditional love and deep understanding you keep wishing others would. And reach for the hands that reach back.

To those who noticed I had fallen asleep in my life and shook me until I woke up, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope you know how much it means to me.

Paws, may we escape them, if only we so choose to 🤍 aaaand hook ‘em ;) taken in The University of Texas at Austin by @luvmorgy
