Some people leave behind memories. Others leave behind a legacy.

Our Tata did both.

For 99 remarkable years, he lived a life defined by courage, honor, laughter, and unwavering love. He served his country as a veteran during a time of war, answering a call that demanded strength, sacrifice, and selflessness. He carried those values throughout his life, not only in uniform but in the way he treated everyone around him—with dignity, integrity, and respect.

But if there was one thing greater than his devotion to his country, it was his devotion to his wife, our Nana Licha.

Sixteen years ago, he said goodbye to the love of his life. Though time continued to move forward, his love for her never faded. He carried her in his heart every day, honoring the life they built together and the family they created. Their love was the kind that outlasted time, distance, and even death. It was a reminder that true love doesn't end—it simply changes its place, living forever in our hearts.

Now, after so many years apart, we find comfort in knowing they are together again.

As a father and grandparent, Our Tata gave more than advice, he gave his example. He showed us what it meant to work hard, to keep your word, to stand for what was right, and to love your family. He made us laugh when we needed it most. His sense of humor could brighten a room, ease a burden, and remind us not to take life too seriously. His smile, his stories, and his playful spirit will echo through generations.

His 99 years were filled with history, challenges, victories, and countless moments of love. He witnessed nearly a century of change, yet the values that guided him never changed. Honor. Loyalty. Kindness. Family.

My last visit with you, you said how great USA is and sang God bless America 🇺🇸 🙏 ❤️

His legacy wasn't measured only by the years he lived, but by the lives he touched. It lives on in every lesson he taught, every laugh he shared, every act of kindness he offered, and every family tradition he helped create.

Thank you, Tata, for your courage.
