Same Game. Different Era.

THEN: Cowboy hat on the sideline.
NOW: Headsets and laminated play sheets.

THEN: Loyalty first.
NOW: Analytics first.

The game evolves but leadership rooted in heart never goes out of style.

Luv Ya Bum! explores a time when football felt personal.

Before branding, buzzwords and leadership seminars.
Bum Phillips believed one thing mattered most: people.
He didn’t coach with ego. He coached with heart.
Loyalty was earned. Humor was powerful. Authenticity wasn’t optional.

That philosophy didn’t just shape football; it shaped lives.

🎬 Luv Ya Bum! tells the story behind the hat, the quotes, and a legacy that still resonates today.

Before the Texans.
Before retractable roofs.
Houston football belonged to the Oilers and Bum Phillips was the heartbeat of it.
He coached the Houston Oilers from 1975-1980 and turned a team into a culture. Cowboy hat on the sideline. Humor in the locker room. Loyalty above all else.

Win or lose, the city knew one thing: Bum was our guy!

🎬 Luv Ya Bum! captures a chapter of Houston sports history that still lives in the hearts of fans today.
