First and foremost I want to give a huge shout out to @dukemykel for having me , my sisters and our daughters contribute to the @dukezday annual BBQ it was a real honor to be in the presence of all his friends and family and to just see how beautiful the coming together of community really is.

It was my first time meeting duke. He told me he was turning 19 and to see the things he is doing for his community is such a joy and inspiration. I met his mother and grandmother today both beautiful women who were so proud , happy and excited to be his village. It was so beautiful to see. So dope to see how many ppl love, support and believe in him.

Such a nostalgic moment for me. It felt so good to be apart of something full of love, kindness and selflessness. So thank you 🙏🏼 and happy birthday again 🎉 🎈

This was actually lux’s first pop out of this summer 2026. I’ve been sitting on my hands really trying to make more meaning behind what it is I’m really trying to do. And every move I make guides my steps closer to what my spirit is really asking me for…

Thank you to my big sis @ms_sonjamarie for helping me today with her own contribution of donations and her support / smooth 😉 transportation. Love you so much sis thank you for coming and standing with me…Along side my ride or die @_asiavu who always shows up to support me in all I do. ✨ these experiences are everything and some with you by my side!

Yesterday was really special and I was so thankful to have my family along side me. Especially my daughter and niece…it’s so important to me that they too can see what community looks and feels like. And how important it is to pour into the community that’s around you. Such an honor 🤍🙏🏼

This weekend I realized something huge about myself….

I had procrastinated doing this for 2 years. Only realizing that I had to go through my intentions of why I wanted to do this. And who I wanted to be inside it. A lot of me has been working over time on trying to become a content creator and business women. There came feelings of defeat inside it. Feelings of Under appreciation. And the list goes on. But I say that to say I had to get rooted in my feelings of myself. I’ve been working on trust inside myself hardbody lately.

Focusing on allowing myself to be right. To feel correct about how I feel and move. I want to give myself more credit for my art and my ideas. Because I know I am everything I share with the 🌎 world. This weekend I realized that my “ procrastination “ was just fear. Just doubting that I wouldn’t be good at things made for me.

But procrastination gave me “ Time “ time to self evaluate and get my intentions clear. Because this weekend I changed. I realized that my lux thrift idea has nothing to do with money. It has everything to do with experience. The part that brought me so much fulfillment was watching women excited for the experience of shopping.

The excitement in there eyes to just be around clothing was felt wholeheartedly. And this is what shopping / fashion feels like to me. It’s an experience. Touching the fabrics. All the different textures and colors. Trying things on. Finding things that work well with my body and complexion.

Fashion is an experience!
Clothing is an expression of life.
Of who we are , how we feel and what we love. ❤️ and I’ve only just begun to be a helping hand in the experience of other people’s experiences inside it and it’s honestly been one of the best feelings I’ve felt in a long time!

I’m so proud of myself. And I want to thank my friends and family who could make it out this weekend. And who have been supporting me close by and behind the scenes. Without yall really believing in me this whole thing would feel harder. I love yall all so much for seeing me beyond the surface and I’m so proud to have my community.
