My world ever will never be the same. Today I lost my dad. My heart is broken. I never expected even in the slightest that this could happen and it’s hard to accept. My dad was the most genuine, caring, special person ever. He was unlike anyone I’ve ever met... if you had the gift of knowing him you know what a joy he was to be around. He was always doing things for others…. He brought out the best in the people around him and was so accepting and understanding. I would never be the person I am today without his unconditional love and guidance. I would never have the unbreakable faith that is instilled in me without seeing Gods love firsthand through the way he lived. The compassion, forgiveness and patience he showed me was out of this world. He showed so much grace in times that he never had to. He worked a double everyday and prioritized his family over everything.

When it comes to people he would seek out the troubled person and extend a hand. He never stuck with the easy route… the challenge was worth it. My hope is that I made him proud. My hope is that I can continue his legacy and show others that love in my lifetime.

I’ve been through a lot in the past decade but this is something I never dreamed of facing. This is the hardest day ever. I can get through anything but when it comes to my dad…. It just isn’t the same without him. I’m trying to trust Gods plan… I’ll be ok but I am crushed. I just wish I could go back a few days and be back on the couch with him eating dinner and talking about the beach and his favorite songs.
