POSTS STORIES REELS

Funny enough @ashemusic song, “moral of the story” really helped me through my divorce, if only this “Stop The Wedding” song had been available in 2013, it would have really helped me when I was crying in Vegas at my bachelorette party. It helps to feel less alone, so let me share…
-
There are many times in your life when you’re intuition will tell you to stop, it’s important that you listen. I also believe this song might be about more than just “weddings” ……although in my case in 2013 it was literally about the wedding.
-
In 2013 it was my wedding, in 2017 it was a husband who didn’t love me (and infidelity), 2022 it was for my mental health and way too much space I didn’t need….
It’s OK to change direction even if you have put a lot of effort into that path, or others expect you to stay on that path…do what is right for you, and tune into your gut. #lifeoutsidethebox #stopthewedding by @luxstlou

Because there is no Electoral College in midterm elections, all congressional, statewide, and local races are decided entirely by direct popular vote. Every individual ballot cast directly impacts the total tally for that candidate in their specific district or state.

Last night we were WELCOMED back to the Lou for the wedding of @boshrothman and his soulmate Megan. Bosh introduced me to Megan around 16 years ago, (scroll thru for old photos) their love is so beautiful and strong. I cannot wait to be at the ceremony in a few hours to celebrate with them and their incredible families! Love you Bosh and Meg!

This weekend is a HUGE adoption event in KC with most major shelters participating! It’s the perfect time to get your new family member, just in time to snuggle by the fire with football on the tv….and this weekend every pet @greatplainsspca is only $25!! I paid $450 to adopt LeBron and he was worth every penny, especially knowing where the pennies go, since GP gets no federal funding, it goes to saving more dogs like LeBron. This weekend it’s all about clearing the shelters so they can have space as the weather gets more fire in the fireplace-like.
-
LeBron was rescued with two other poodles and many other small dogs from a hoarding case in KS. At 8 years old he is more like 2, since I’m pretty convinced his life was spent in a small space. Watching him experience everything for the first time is the most genuinely rewarding experience. If you have a lil room in your home and heart, please check a shelter near you this weekend, your LeBron is waiting for you! by @luxstlou

Autumn has me thinking about what falls away and what I still get to keep.

There’s grief in losing familiar work and routines, relief in having room to reconsider them, and uncertainty about what comes next. And when you’ve spent so much of your life being heard, the quiet can feel personal.

Some days I can see the possibility in all this space. Other days, I just miss knowing where I belong. I can be excited about a new direction and still wish the old one hadn’t ended the way it did.

But autumn is also harvest. I’m carrying everything those years gave me: the skills, the friendships, the stories, the nerve to walk into a room and make something happen.

If you’re in a season like this, try asking yourself three things:

What am I grieving?
What am I relieved to put down?
What do I want to carry forward?

They might have overlapping answers. You can miss something that exhausted you. You can want a different life and still be upset about how this one changed.

And you don’t have to turn it into a beautiful lesson immediately. Some things hurt without handing you a life-changing revelation.

I’m still figuring out what comes next. But I’m trying to stop treating the life I’m living in between as something to hurry through.

Even with the branches bare, the roots still know what to do. by @luxstlou

June 2007 was my first time seeing Shinedown, I am lucky enough to have seen them many, many, many….MANY more times since then. They never fail to impress with not only their exceptional stage performances and musicianship, but how they treat their fans, their crew, and heck even the family and friends of those who work with them. It was so nice to have my parents back for another SD show, it had been way too long for either of them, and it was Marcel’s 2nd show. Oh and look at this amazing gift! Knowing my passion for soccer, the guys, with a lil help from my friend @middle_aged_the_giant , gave me one of their soccer kits from their merch line! It’s so rad, even cooler than I had seen online! Truly a magical evening all around. Mega thank you to the staff member who went above and beryond hooking us up with ear plugs, as we had forgotten ours, and @shinedown well they rock LOUD 🤘🔥 by @luxstlou
