Our EP, “Sweet Memories” comes out on Thursday on all streaming platforms. ✨
To me, releasing music is an auditory journal submitted to the void.
As with life, there is grief, and these songs became a place for me to process my own. Grief has been ever-present in my life over the past couple of years—from changes in relationships, to mourning the death of the person who brought me into this world, to grieving the state of the world.
Through writing these songs, I’ve slowly begun to understand what it means to grieve.
Some days, I still don’t think I’m doing it right, haha.
These songs live in the contradictions between sadness, happiness, and acceptance. They’re about accepting our present state and the cards we’ve been dealt, while still finding joy, meaning, and our own truth somewhere in between. by @lvrsband
