Because I took too many pictures to fit into a couple second reel. 🎃📷

The girls had a great time when we visited @grimsorchard in September. It was a beautifully warm day and even though the girls may be outgrowing some things, they still had fun exploring, bouncing, and shooting apples from a cannon.

Ngl, my favorite part of IG is having these memories to look back on with or without the hearts.

Just in case our kids say we never did anything 🎃🖤

A couple weeks ago we hit up @grimsorchard for their fall festival and we picked a great day when it was barely busy to enjoy the fun.

And fun the girls had. From bouncing, to goats, to apple cider slushies and hayrides and corn mazes. There was not a spot in there that we didn’t enjoy.

So if our girls say that we never went anywhere, just know they’re little liars!

Happiest 44th birthday to my mostly social media less loml. 🎉✨
I know he won’t see this till I show him but wanted to celebrate irl and online this amazing human being who we get to call ours.

I hope the girls and I made you feel as special today as you make us feel everyday! We love you babe!

A Homegoods hates to see me coming 🎃✨

But fr, I’ve always loved a home overly decorated with all the colors of the season. If monochrome minimalist Halloween is your vibe, do you boo but I want Halloween and Fall to spill from every ounce of my house come the spooky season.

Call it tacky but I want my kids to feel the season and remember how much we embraced and tried to make this season special.

Influenced by the Instagram ✨🎃

Amaya and I kept seeing all over reels, families making a fall bucket list where we could include pictures from her Instax camera of all our fall fun. After a trip to Michaels for some brown craft paper we started the our cute craft for the autumn awesomeness we hope to accomplish.

What would you include on your fall bucket list!?

Sometimes it’s okay to be a hater 😒🎃✨

And while I feel conditioned to say I’m sorry if you like these things, I don’t think I am. This is a classic case of different strokes for different folks and these are a few of things that gave me the ick.

Because if I can buy it secondhand, best believe I WILL!! 💸

Joe has been my right hand man and most amazing bag carrier since I put him on to coming to consignment sales with me and this year the girls got in there for themselves and I’m pretty freaking proud of ours/their finds.

And just like that we’re back to the beginning 🧠💜

It’s easy to get complacent when you don’t see them.
When the meds are working.
When you go about your normal routine
When everything feels good.

And BOOM!
There it was.

A morning FaceTime call with Amaya while she was getting ready for her second day of junior high, and was telling me about her head ‘feeling twitchy’. I watched her through screen as she held her head while it shook and when it was done said she struggled to get her eyes to focus.

And it happened again. And again. Joe and I left work and rushed home and yet again. And again. And while I sent her up to my room to relax and call her dad…..again and again and again.

15 cluster seizures in the course of an hour.
Not long enough to need her rescue medicine but enough of them to scare the shit out of us.

And just like that…back to the beginning.
Resetting the clock.
She had a good run of being 5 years seizure free but now we have the EEG done and bloodwork coming up to see if we need to adjust her meds again.

Luckily Amaya is a fighter and won’t let this stop her. 💜

There she goes….off to junior high ✨

A new start at a new school as Amaya moved up to the junior/senior high school for 7th grade. She was nervous this morning but I think those back to school jitters will pass shortly.

I’m also pretty sure from the back to school pics I’ve seen plastered of the preteen crowd, the baggy jeans with a tee was the outfit of choice this season.
