Hi everyone
As you know by my extreme stories, my life has been turned around upside down by a simple mono infection
Over 10 months I have developed severe ME/CFS, leaving me entirely bedbound and relying on help from my parents
In addition I have suffered extreme neurological injury called akathesia
Of course this is on top of my already existing Crohn’s disease, ankylosing spondylitis, narcolepsy, UCTD, and POTS
I have lost contact with the outside world, I hardly know what season it is, what month it is, what day it is
However the good news, which there is
Is that my ME/CFS developed 10 months ago, I am very early on in my illness, and the first two years offer a very good chance of substantial improvement or even, disappearance.
This is not the rest of my life, and I have decided to commit the next months to Agressive Rest Therapy. Meaning I will spend months laying down, in the dark, with as little stimulation as my brain can handle, drugging myself with GHB for sleep, CBD, and other medicine
This sounds like torture but it is the truest way to get my life back after months of exerting myself and decimating my energy envelope
Before this I wanted to give up, I simply decided death would be my escape, but my best friend @liddyloushysteria reminded me that there is a life worth living, and I haven’t seen her in months, and if I agressive rest I can see her again.

A year will pass, and did I spend that resting, or continuing to exert myself until I die?
I will spend it resting, because I want to see my best friend again, I want to see my family again, I want to play my sitar again, I want to dress up again
I want to get out of bed again
I want to live again
And I will
Because my life has shrunk so much
And I want it back

as you guys know. I had really long beautiful hair that became matted due to my inability to brush it due to PEM. I went to a woman to dematt it, and the result was…omg my previous thick long hair was like two strands. I’m actually really heartbroken about it but this will be easier to care for and it will grow back again.i will be keeping the signature braids. 🧞‍♀️ by @lydiaaar

my previously poor health has declined after mono triggered myalgic encphelomyelitis/cfs. #mecfs #longcovid #pem
which I will say is far more hellish than my comorbities: Crohn’s, narcolepsy, etc.
i am in a severe state of PEM that’s left me unable to walk without severe pain.
PEM is an energy deficient: aka, you overdid it and your body is angry. crashes can last days to months. idk my baseline.
I will get me back, after long sustained periods of rest…
I’ll post again once I’m healthier
and yes, I still vape. I need at least once vice lol. by @lydiaaar
