I took my baes to Carthage and they told me it was so weird and then I was like oh yeah Carthage is pretty weird LOL. They were like this explains why you are the way you are hahaha

I got promoted/had a job title created for me not to flex (!) to the Marketing and Events coordinator at M&F which I’m very excited about! I’ve been taking on some new responsibilities which is fun. Life is good. Doctors in America suck but other than that I’m doing pretty well :) taken in The Parsonage at Red Oak II by @lydialenae

Last photo dump of the trip - I am back home woohoo /womp womp

I am very tired and am very excited to be in my bed right now, but I am genuinely so proud of myself. This was my first solo trip EVER and yes Kristyna and I hung out for a few of the days but like idc it still counts.

I spent a lot of my time laying in parks writing. I spent time in reflection of my feelings and my thoughts and my energy. I felt the grass and the ground and the sun and the cold. I went to museums and took as long as I wanted there. I bought as many Czech snacks as I wanted. I walked to the grocery store and took my time learning how to use the registers and navigate the store. I learned the public transportation system. I walked over 10,000 steps every single day (over 15k five of the days). I spoke a lot of simple Czech phrases. I went to a lot of local restaurants and bakeries. I saw practically every dog breed ever because for some reason everyone in Prague has a dog. I touched walls built over a thousand years ago. I learned a bunch of different versions of local myths and fairytales. I made a lot of meals at home- and got the food stuck to the pan every single time. I chatted with locals and tourists and made new friends pretty much everywhere I went. I might not remember their name or ever see them again, but we shared happy moments and happy energy in that time, which I’m grateful for.

The travel days were hard because like who likes an over 24 hour travel day especially when you don’t have a buddy to help you navigate. I feel so fulfilled, though. If you ever get the chance to travel far away alone, I highly recommend you do it. And if you’ve been thinking about taking a trip- you fr need to just do it. Stop saying that you will one day and then not just do it. You have to live your life and explore before your body won’t let you. We are meant to see new places. To experience new cultures. We can’t just work and go home and do the occasional fun thing to give us a small amount of dopamine to make it into the next occasional fun thing.

We are given this life to be fully lived.

All that to say, I had a really great time. I did so much- I can’t even remember it all. by @lydialenae
