“The Galloway method, or Run-Walk-Run method, is a pacing and training strategy developed in 1973–1974 by former US Olympian Jeff Galloway that alternates scheduled running intervals with walking breaks from the very first mile.”

I’ve tried this method out this week on three different runs, and I am definitely enjoying it! This 8 miler was 30 seconds walk, 4 1/2 mins run, so I could easily keep track at the 5 minute mark.

Four years ago was my knit pattern designing era, and this pattern can still be found on @knit_picks and @hi.ravelry as the Sandbridge Wrap.

Half of a half today- every time I go through a training cycle, I’m always amazed that I’ll have to double this distance and it always seems so long until I do it a few times. If I ever want to break 2 1/2 hours, I’ll have to pick it up a bit. by @lydiashomestead

What a nice dreary day to stay inside with something warm (thank you for my new mug, @mimi_in_vabeach !), homemade bread in the oven, and some knitting.
