My cup is OVERFLOWING.

When I came to saranac three weeks ago, I expected to return to VA after 6 days of being a camper, not in July... but the Lord had other plans, and I am eternally grateful for that. 36 hours before I was initially supposed to leave, I decided to jump into completely unknown waters and serve till the end of session one. So, after a few phone calls and a couple hours of paper work, it was official, I wasn't coming home quite yet!!! Of course, it was hard, but choosing to stay and be apart of work crew is the best decision I have ever made. The people I met and connections we've formed are so incredibly special. They're my family!! I have laughed, cried, learned and loved harder than ever before. Every corner I turned, I was met with open arms and endless encouragement. I have never felt so loved and appreciated- Jesus pours out of each and every person here. The presence of Christlike love and genuine community built through His word RADIATES. Whether it was snaking, laughing (or crying) in the chem shed, love letters, hanging at the beach, spray-wipe-spraying, worship, bussing tables, kitchen days, pre-sets, family time, falling asleep in the tin room (yikes), folding napkins, pits princessing, outdoor lunch & dinners, FIRE ALARMS, free time in the game room, random bruises, blitzing, work crew meetings, devos & debriefs in the granite room, serving campers their food, rainy day laundry runs for tablecloths, tossing salad, infirmary lollipops, prayer, pranking summer staff, late night cabin chats, dancing through the dining hall, a hot take, basketball tourneys, counting chairs, or just simply eating all our meals together, there wasn't a single moment that went by where I didn't feel immense joy and gratitude. These people and this place hold the most special place in my heart. 🤍🤍🤍
I'll never know what I did to deserve this incredible opportunity, but it will never be taken for granted. I was lucky enough to make the type of memories a person carries with them for a lifetime, all while serving the Lord. God is so good.
