Post-operative swelling is expected.
But not all swelling is the same.

One of the biggest parts of my role is recognising the difference between normal healing… and something that needs closer attention.

Localised swelling, fluid pockets, irregular firmness, excessive heat, asymmetry, tension, delayed healing. These are all things I assess every single day whilst treating post-op clients.

Massage is only one part of what I do.

My clients also have somebody monitoring their healing journey closely. Somebody who understands post-op bodies, compression, inflammation, fibrosis, fluid movement, wound healing, and when something may need escalating back to a surgeon or medical professional.

This is why choosing the right therapist matters.

Experience matters.

Lately I’ve just been feeling really grateful for life 🤍

I’ve been having so many moments recently where I stop and think wow… life is beautiful.

During this trip, I experienced one of the most beautiful and relaxing things I’ve ever done in Istanbul 🤍

I visited Zeyrek Çinili Hamam and honestly… it completely exceeded my expectations. The building itself is stunning and full of history. Before my treatment I explored the museum and art gallery downstairs which made the whole experience feel even more special and immersive.

I chose the Reborn package and I highly recommend it. The experience included time in the historic hammam, exfoliation, cleansing rituals, a full body clay mask, multiple massages, hair washing and scalp treatments, moisturising and time to completely switch off and relax. Every part of it felt thoughtful and luxurious.

I was looked after so beautifully from start to finish and having the whole treatment with an amazing therapist made it feel even more peaceful. The atmosphere, the architecture, the scents, the warmth, the music… everything was perfect.

If you’re visiting Istanbul, put this on your list. I will 100% be returning 🤍

People have been asking how I keep going, especially whilst recovering from surgery myself. The truth is… I genuinely love what I do and I care deeply about my clients.

Having experienced surgery and recovery personally, I understand how vulnerable, emotional and overwhelming it can feel. That’s why I put so much into my work. I know how much the right support matters.
