Number 2 used to be a strange concept to me as someone who likes to pay EVERY bill on time. But I completely get it now. Take care of your financial future (investing and saving) before taking care of your present day wants (the vacation, the shopping trip, beauty maintenance, etc.) Another episode of Soft Life Finances ✅ If you’re new here, my name is Lyn. Accounting & Finance grad, nearly a decade of corporate Finance & Accounting experience, and a lover of all things sunshine and rainbows☀️🤸🏾‍♀️. I don’t believe the path to financially needs to be through suffering & I help women go from money-anxious to actually invested. I’m sharing all things finance this week (and next) so sure to follow if you aren’t already! #personalfinance #moneymindset #investingforbeginners #softlifefinances by @lyn.allure
Money habits don’t always have to be grand. Sometimes it’s just an account change or knowing when & where to make payments that you were going to make anyways. Another episode of Soft Life Finances ✔️ If you’re new here, my name is Lyn. Accounting & Finance grad, nearly a decade of corporate Finance & Accounting experience, and a lover of all things ‘sunshine and rainbows’🤸🏾‍♀️🥰☀️. I don’t believe the path to financial literacy needs to be mundane or traumatic & I’m constantly cheerleading the women to invest for themselves. I’m sharing all things money, this week (and next) so be sure to follow along if you aren’t already! by @lyn.allure

You’re more than how you earn an income & not every hobby needs to be monetized. I find building wealth to be more enjoyable when I’m emotionally detached from the societal and familial pressures that come with being a “high earner”. - You can be ambitious and still prioritize the people you love. - You can take your work seriously without taking yourself so seriously. - You can start a hobby without thinking about how you’ll turn it into a side hustle. I’m learning to make more room for play because sometimes a girl can forget that she’s no longer in survival mode. Besides, what is a “soft life” without a balanced nervous system? 🤷🏾‍♀️ 🎙️ I unpack this more in last week’s podcast episode. Comment PODCASTS and I’ll send you the link. ✨ by @lyn.allure
What does your soft life look like? For me it’s slow mornings, a regulated nervous system, spontaneous travel, generosity when I feel compelled, running a business I love, hiring help, getting the extra guac… and so many other things lol. Not everyone’s ideal life looks the same, and that’s the beauty of choice. On the podcast we’ll have different guests with knowledge, experience, and insight that’ll help us to stay present and enjoy the journey while simultaneously making progress towards your goals. Also expect to get some more of unfiltered perspectives on a multitude of topics🤪. In first episode,we did a little life update: married life💍, new business💼, what’s to come on the podcast🎥. It’s available anywhere you listen to your podcasts: @youtube @spotify @applepodcasts Comment ‘PODCAST’ and I’ll send you the episode! by @lyn.allure

Your money deserves to be doing more 💅 💰HYSA = high-yield savings account, aka letting your savings earn a little extra while you’re living your best life 💰🎀 This is a great account for your Emergency Savings fund (what I like to call your Peace-Out fund), vacation fund, moving out fund, etc. What’s great about a HYSA is that you have access to it at anytime. It’s a good combination of competitive interest, safety, and liquidity. Comment HYSA and I’ll send you some of my recs! #HYSA #SavingsGoals #GoodGirlGoneBoss by @lyn.allure
Access to your personal life is earned. Success requires the ability to read the room and add 👏🏾relevant value👏🏾 based on your skills, knowledge, perspective, and personality. Some cultures call them “monitoring spirits”, “bad mind”, “evil eye”, etc… Whatever language you use, the practical lesson is that when people gain too much knowledge of your personal life without pure intentions, it can cause more harm than good to you and your potential opportunities. Trust is slowly earned, not cheaply shared with anyone who will listen. These are lessons you can learn in corporate settings, but are also life lessons, entrepreneurial lessons, and even content creators lessons to keep in mind. Being there’s a difference between relatable and being familiar. Familiarity breeds contempt. So how do you build quality connections without oversharing or trauma dumping on strangers? The answer lies in “LEARN FROM ME” content, and not just “LOOK AT ME” content. And no… that doesn’t mean you need to sell a course. It simply means asking yourself: “What can someone take away from a conversation with me or after watching my content that will enlighten them, help them, inspire them, or simply brighten their day”? Regardless of what industry you’re in, there are quick newsletters you can subscribe to that’ll help you stay informed, culturally aware, knowledgeable and interesting. A few of my suggestions: @morningbrew - business, markets, & current events @theskimm - news & culture @voguemagazine - fashion, culture, & influence @elledecor - design, interiors, lifestyle @archdigest - architecture, design, & culture @axios - quick digestible news in business, tech & politics And you don’t have to be an expert in everything. Stay curious. You become someone people want to hear from. Not because you’ve told them every deep secret you’ve ever had, but because you consistently leave them with something valuable. Comment ‘GUIDE’ and I’ll send you a free resource I created on how to turn your personal brand, your knowledge and expertise into a steady income stream. If a year was a day, getting started on your goals in September is like waking up at 5am. Some call it a Winter Arc, others call it the Great Lock-In. Regardless of what title you give this season, there is something so magical that happens from September to December when you ignore all distractions, limiting beliefs, and fears to LASER FOCUS in on your goals. It’s time to make those vision board pictures a reality and get momentum started for next year’s success. Are you hibernating this season? What three areas are you focusing on? I genuinely want to know!⬇️ by @lyn.allure
