What a bloody gorgeous day ✨️ My first ever book signing and it was a truly magical one with some of my absolute favourite humans (thank you for coming along as my glamorous assistant @lell1988! 💖)

If you came along today and said hi, chatted about books, bought a signed copy or just got your poster signed then thank you for making today such a dream. I'm tucked up in my Premier Inn now with a glass of champagne and The Addams Family, looking back at all the photos and videos from today and looking forward to doing it again soon!

Happy reading everyone ✨️❤️

For me and so many others, being an independent, self publishing author is not a consolation prize for not getting an agent or traditional publishing deal. It's a choice we make to back ourselves, take control over our own careers, and be free to write and publish what (and when) we want ✨️ This is my story of deciding to go indie, at a time when I'd had enough of the powerlessness I felt and needed to be in control of my own destiny 💗
Thank you for being here for the last 10 years, it's been an adventure and I'm grateful every single day for the love and support you've all shown me and my books 🥰📚

Who doesn't love a good opening line? 🫶 They set the story up, introduce the world or the main character, and make us want to keep reading ✨️

A Gift of Midnight Music takes place in a town trapped inside a wintery curse, but it hasn't always been this way and Merri can remember "before". Can she figure out how to break the curse?

Would you read a story that started like this? 📚

Two for the price of one 🙌 Meet the men of A Gift of Midnight Music 🎄

But who should Merri choose: her sweet childhood friend who'd do anything for her, or the mysterious fae who appears to only her and promises to free her from the town's curse? 🤔

There's just 2 days until I head down to Swansea on the Welsh coast for @indielovewales and I cannot wait to meet lots of lovely readers and other authors! 🩷

I've been wrapping these Blind Date with a Books, choosing stickers and packing my bookmarks and character art ready for the signing. If you're looking for no / low spice fantasy books for yourself or a Christmas present for a friend then come to table 44 and grab some goodies 🙌✨️

See you Saturday!

You guys, it's totally normal to still have an imaginary friend at 21, right? Asking for Merriweather 😅❄️

If you like mysterious masked men who are serious red flags (only in our books, ok ladies?), sweet cinnamon roll friends who definitely want to be more, and cosy small towns trapped in snow globe-like curses by the cruel Frost Fae, then you're gonna love A Gift of Midnight Music! 🎄🩷

This is not a drill, the ARC sign up sheet for The Twelve Gifts of Christmas series is now up! Find it in my bio 🔗

Twelve festive novelettes with very different vibes, all inspired by a different gift (there may be a lot of bird gifts but I for one can't wait to see how everyone wove the gift into their stories!) ❄️

If you're looking for a few shorter reads to help you smash that Goodreads reading challenge, we've got you covered 🙌

If you like books with Stars Hollow at Christmas vibes, friends to lovers romance, a Pied Piper X Phantom of the Opera style musical enchantment and a swoony golden retriever love interest, then you might like A Gift of Midnight Music by Lyndsey Hall 🎄

Part of the Twelve Gifts of Christmas series of cosy fantasy novelettes, and inspired by Eleven Pipers Piping ❄️

If green is your favourite colour you're in luck 🍀 Books 11 and 12 of the Twelve Gifts of Christmas series are darkest forest and brightest emerald green 💚 Both inspired by the musical gifts, and basically the perfect pairing!

A Gift of Midnight Music by Lyndsey Hall (me!) is inspired by Eleven Pipers Piping 🪈 and A Gift of Emerald Drums by @barbarahartzler is inspired by Twelve Drummers Drumming 🥁

My story brings together the tale of the Pied Piper of Hamlin and the Phantom of the Opera with a sprinkle of fairy magic ✨️

We can’t wait for you to read our stories this December! 🎄
