And it’s not just Jessi.Look at ANY viral video of a woman being transparent or talking about her success — and other women are often the biggest critics in the comment section.A girl showcases some weight loss? “Must be Ozempic.” “You were always thin.” “You don’t have kids, that’s why this was easy for you.”A woman makes some money? “Scammer.” “Take accountability for your privilege.” “Must be nice.” “It’s because she’s skinny and beautiful.” “Actually… [insert critique of how the woman didn’t do something ~right~].” “This is so out of touch.”I am all for accountability where and when it is genuinely needed, but I think too many women are masquerading as the Police Of Everything while really, just projecting their own insecurities and limitations on other women who are willing to be honest, take risks, put themselves out there, and do a hard thing. by @lynettemarieh

Nothing used to make me madder as a fitness coach than when a client would check in after weeks of fcking off and not tracking well or getting their workouts in, with no weight loss, and say things like:“I expected to see more results by now”“I don’t get why this isn’t working”“I REALLY need to see some progress soon.”“Maybe it’s my cortisol/my metabolism/my birth chart/Mercury in retrograde/my trauma.”Listen, as a coach, I have SO much empathy for struggle, lack of motivation, discouragement, etc.But I don’t have much empathy for you sitting there and denying facts and reality and becoming a victim of circumstances you’re actively creating.And that goes for your business too, coaches.Don’t tell me “I’m not growing” when you posted 7 total times last month.Don’t tell me “my audience doesn’t care about me” when you’re never on your stories or sharing anything real.Don’t tell me “I don’t have leads” when you’re not doing the work daily and weekly to bring those leads in.It’s not a mystery - the results you seek are in the work you’re avoiding.
