I had a wonderful time performing my first faculty recital last night at CU! The CUPE absolutely NAILED Mudra to close out the show!

Huge thanks to my wonderful colleagues for their support during this first month. I’m so grateful to be part of this community!

And thanks to Carter Pann for the picture, and to Insomnia Cookies for the cookie sandwich served in a pizza box. Sko Buffs! 🦬🎶🍪 taken in CU Boulder College of Music by @lynge_perc

Show tonight at 7:30pm! The program includes two pieces that I previously commissioned as well as a wonderful work by the College of Music’s Associate Professor of Composition Annika Socolofsky. Additional composers represented on the concert include Keiko Abe, Samuel Peruzzolo-Vieira, Caleb Pickering, John Psathas and Bob Becker. To close the program, Lynge will perform alongside the CU Boulder Percussion Ensemble.

Tenth year of college teaching, fourth institution—and I’m extremely excited to begin this next chapter at the University of Colorado Boulder!

I’ve already been so impressed by the faculty and staff. This is a top-notch College of Music, with some of the best facilities I’ve ever seen. And, of course, the location isn’t bad either! 😎

It was great meeting with the CU Percussion Ensemble for the first time today. We’ve got an awesome concert planned for November 9 featuring music by Hollo, Hynes, Trevino, Montgomery, JLin, and Hall.

So excited for what’s ahead. Sko Buffs! 🦬🎶 taken in University of Colorado Boulder by @lynge_perc

I had a wonderful time performing and teaching at the 2026 Patagonia Percussion Festival in General Roca, Argentina! This continues to be one of my favorite percussion festivals, and it was exceptionally organized by Matias Laborde.

I also had the chance to spend a few days exploring Buenos Aires, one of my favorite cities. It was an added bonus to be in Argentina during the World Cup! taken in Buenos Aires, Argentina by @lynge_perc

I had an awesome final hang with the students of the UA Percussion Studio yesterday, minus a few. I adore these students and will miss this studio dearly. Roll Tide! 👊 by @lynge_perc

I am thrilled to begin my role as Head of Percussion at the University of Colorado Boulder College of Music this fall. Mike Tetreault and Carl Dixon have done incredible work with the CU Percussion Studio, and I am honored to join the faculty as we continue the program’s exciting growth.

Steph and I could not be more excited to be moving back to Colorado! We have always talked about the possibility of returning to Colorado, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to raise our family in one of the most beautiful areas of the country! We will miss Alabama dearly, but we will absolutely be back to visit. by @lynge_perc

This will be my final semester teaching at The University of Alabama. I’m incredibly proud of what these students have accomplished in such a short time. They are thoughtful, driven, and inspiring musicians. My sincere thanks to Skip Snead (Director) and Ken Ozzello (Director of Bands) for their support and guidance since 2019.

These three photos capture different stages of this studio: UAPE PASIC Showcase Concerts in 2021 and 2024, and my final concert with the UAPE on April 12. UA will always be a very special place for me.

Steph and I have some news to share soon, but in the meantime, Roll Tide! by @lynge_perc
