In 2016, a dog became trapped in a canal in Almaty, Kazakhstan. One man climbed down to save it, but soon realized he couldn’t get back up.
Then complete strangers started joining in
One by one, they formed a human chain down the concrete wall, eventually pulling both the man and the dog to safety.
Ten years later, the city turned that moment into a monument, a permanent reminder of what can happen when strangers choose to help.

The passing of Presley Gerber has really had me thinking, and not in the way you might expect. Because whatever someone looks like they have, or don’t have, every single one of us is carrying something the world can’t see. Presley’s story is proof of that, and I think it’s one we can all learn from.
From the outside, his life looked like everything. A prominent family, his mum one of the biggest names in fashion, and a modeling career of his own with Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana, Celine and Calvin Klein. So it’s easy to reach for a word like privileged, or nepo baby. But the moment we do that, we stop seeing the person. And the truth is Presley fought hard, for many years, with his mental health and his addiction. That “privileged” life carried a weight most people never see.
What I loved about him is that he never hid his battle. He shared it openly, because he wanted others to feel less alone. So maybe the best thing we can do now is carry that forward. Keep talking, keep checking in on each other, and be a little slower to judge a life we’ve only seen from the outside. Rest easy, Presley. We’ll make sure your story lives on. by @lynn_crilly

Yesterday I took my gorgeous little 4 year old grandson Reggie to share his love of fish and nature with my dear 90 year old friend George who owns @lynwood_aquatics, it bought tears to my eyes to see the magic they shared!
We all need each other more now than ever so please be kind to each other

Michael J. Fox shared a powerful and deeply personal message while accepting the Bob Hope
Humanitarian Award at the Emmys. & The beloved actor reflected on his journey with Parkinson’s disease and opened up about initially keeping his diagnosis a secret because he worried it could affect his career and the way audiences saw him. Fox credited his fellow actors and creatives for standing by him and helping him realize that accepting Parkinson’s did not mean surrendering to it. “When it starts to get tough, you show up, you help - and if you can add a little joy while you are doing it, that’s even better,” he said. 2,977 lights rose over New York Harbor-one for every life lost on September 11, 2001.
Last night, the NYC skyline became the setting for a powerful memorial titled
“2,977 Lights Over New York Harbor,” created to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
Flown by Sky Elements with Amsterdam-based art collective Studio Drift serving as artistic advisor, exactly 2,977 drones came together over the water to recreate the Twin Towers at their full architectural scale-in a breathtaking and emotional tribute.
