The focus in Kanha National Park was always the tigers. Every safari drive began with hope.

But some of my favourite moments came in between.

I had never seen a White-eyed Buzzard before, and when we spotted this one perched, I insisted we stop. While everyone else was scanning the forest for larger prizes, I was happy to spend a few minutes photographing a bird that was completely new to me.

It was a reminder that even in a place famous for its tigers, there is always something worth slowing down for.

Big cats are among the most seductive subjects in wildlife photography. Their presence alone is enough.

This Bengal Tiger in Kanha National Park was fully aware of our presence, yet completely relaxed. What struck me was the confidence with which he accepted the encounter.

Orange-breasted Green Pigeon nest building in Yala National Park, Sri Lanka.

A species that is often overlooked as it blends remarkably well into the canopy despite its striking colours. Thanks to @kasunchathurangaa making to sighting possible and to @wildtourssrilanka

An unforgettable moment in Tissamaharama, Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

This beautiful Barn Owl was lit up by the moon clutching its prey. It was a reminder of how much wildlife activity there is after dark and what a privilege it is to witnessing it.

Puffins are so photogenic it’s almost impossible not to want to photograph them.
But catching one returning with a beak full of sand eels — carrying as many as it can hold back to its young — is the moment every puffin chaser hopes for.

There’s something about a Razorbill that makes the name fit perfectly — sharp, severe, slightly menacing — as though evolution designed it with a blade instead of a beak.

I’ve been reminiscing about my leopard safari in Wilpattu National Park a couple of years ago. While digging through my photo archives, I rediscovered this absolute gem — a moment that instantly reminded me just how extraordinary the experience truly was.
Watching this leopard and cub quietly cross the track at dusk was fully immersive.
