If you live in Atlanta and want to see an excellent show, go see this at the alliance Theatre in Midtown. It is one of the most thought-provoking plays I have seen in a very long time. It’s a small cast in a very small intimate venue and the acting is superb! I can’t say enough about this one! Go see it! by @lynnpatric

Watching the twin towers fall from the breakroom in our New York Office will forever be etched in my mind. Every
year I can’t stay away from all the stories, posts, last phone calls home and each year it brings that horrific day to life again. Re-living it reminds me how many people lost their lives that day. It reminds me how so many ran TOWARD the towers to help strangers because that’s what they do. It reminds me there is evil in our world. And evil became real.

I was stuck in NYC and all I wanted to do was get home to my husband and young children. Being stuck actually turned out to be a good thing. Many, many colleagues and I went to mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral. The church was overflowing with people who needed to be there.

I attended a candle light vigil on the steps of St Patrick’s Cathedral the following night and stood shoulder to shoulder with strangers but it didn’t matter because we needed each other. I heard stories of people lined up around the blocks near hospitals to give blood for victims who never showed up.

I heard newscasters openly talk about GOD on national TV. One asked if he could pray before they started the broadcast AND HE DID with everyone on national TV.

10 years or so later I had the privilege of going to the 9/11 museum and reliving it yet again in a very different way. This photo, showing faces of those lost that day, allowed me to see them and thank them for their sacrifice.

And then I went outside to the beautifully designed fountains and read the names of the faces I saw in the picture. It was a quiet, solemn space and dare I say peaceful. I’m forever grateful that I made that trip. If you haven’t seen it - GO.

So yes, today once again, for all those who made the ultimate sacrifice and whose families were changed forever, I re-live that day again. I will not forget September 11. I will always remember it. ❤️🇺🇸 by @lynnpatric
