Eat your skincare 🤌🏼🥕🥒

Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which your body converts into vitamin A to support healthy skin. Cucumbers add hydration, while olive oil provides healthy fats that help your body absorb those nutrients.

Save this one for your next self-care lunch 🥗

🥕 NATURE’S RETINOL SALAD

Ingredients:
* 3–4 carrots
* 1 English cucumber
* 1 red onion
* ½ bunch fresh parsley

For the dressing:
* 2 tbsp sesame seeds
* 3–4 tbsp olive oil or sesame oil
* 2 tbsp soy sauce
* ½ tsp honey
* ½ tsp chili flakes
* Juice of ½ lemon
* 1 tbsp rice vinegar
* Salt to taste

How to make it:
1. Peel the carrots and cucumbers into long, thin ribbons using a vegetable peeler.
2. Finely chop the onion and parsley.
3. Add all the veggies to a large bowl.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together all the dressing ingredients.

My new favorite self-care appointment!! I feel like most of my appointments are EITHER relaxing or I’m there for some sort of “results” but man, this combines the best of both worlds!

My hair has been ridiculously dry and frizzy with the weather getting cooler so I decided to give this a shot and omgggg I wish I would have booked this appointment way sooner. I’m hooked!!

Ladies, run to @avarae.salon and book an appointment. I’m asking for one in my stocking too 🎅🏼🤌🏼

I’ve been posting a lot about Vallie ending up in my bed every night and how exhausted I am because I’m not getting great sleep. While I do appreciate all your messages and tips, I’m not really trying to force her out right now 🫶🏼 I know one day I’m going to look back and miss this. I’m soaking it in - exhaustion and all 😆

Yes I could walk her back to her bed every night but I don’t want to. I want my girls to know I’m their safe place and they can always come to me when they need comfort.

I’ve just gotta figure out how to get some rest WITH her in there haha love yall and always appreciate your messages !!!

Delusional belief. Thats what it takes.

I wrote Dear Diary in November 2019 when I first started to really believe what this business model could do. It was so unrealistic at the time, but my business coach told me to dream like I was a kid again and nothing was too far fetched. He explained that anything is realistic in a child’s eyes…they believe they can be a princess or Superman or anything they can dream up. And as we get older, reality slaps us in the face and we really only start believing what we think we are CAPABLE of achieving.

So I was sitting in our starter home, exhausted from sweet baby Viv who refused to sleep, it was the middle of the night and I had been putting off this silly assignment for weeks. I thought it was a waste of time but I knew he was going to ask me about it on our next call 😆 so I wrote it. Halfway giggling at myself.

But I found myself reading it all the time. When I was frustrated with my business, I pulled it out. When I was feeling defeated and exhausted, I read it and it made me keep going.

That’s what I was feeding to my brain 24/7. I actually started to believe I could do it. It made me work harder. It made me show up differently because I knew exactly what I was working towards. And I realized my current reality was an awful representation of what I was really capable of.

And little by little…I checked off every box.

I emailed my former coach to tell him…you know what he said? Swipe to the last slide…

God isn’t done with me yet.

Vital Quench - the tall glass of water your skin is begging for if you’re feeling tight/dry/crepey.

Three ingredients doing the heavy lifting:

💧Hyaluronic acid pulls moisture into your skin and holds it there. That’s the tall glass of water.

💧Sodium PCA helps your skin actually retain that hydration instead of letting it evaporate.

💧Peptides support your skin’s resilience and soften the look of fine lines, so your skin stays bouncy instead of crepey.

Dry skin doesn’t make enough oil. Dehydrated skin is thirsty for water. Most of us are the second one, even if our skin looks oily. This is the fix.

Drop a 💧 if you want the link!

Skin type and the current condition of your skin are two totally different things! Understanding this will help you so much with what products your skin is asking for.

👉🏼Normal:
Balanced oil and moisture.
Small to medium pores, few concerns.
👉🏼Dry:
Makes too little oil. Feels tight, looks matte or flaky, pores barely visible.
👉🏼Oily
Makes extra oil. Shine by midday, larger pores, more prone to congestion.
👉🏼Combination
Oily T-zone (forehead, nose, chin), normal to dry cheeks.

Dehydration, sensitivity, dullness and breakouts are conditions. They shift with weather, season, stress and routine.

A SKIN TYPE
Dry = lacks oil
• Rough, flaky, sometimes itchy
• Small pores, little shine all year
• Needs: facial oil for your climate

A CONDITION
Dehydrated = lacks water
• Dull, tight, fine crepey lines
• Can happen to oily skin too
• Needs: water drawn in (vital quench)

What is your skin telling you?! 🌵⛅️💧 by @lynsey_petty

Literally everything is connected to your gut, so heading into sick season we are trying to keep things IN CHECK over here lol

I’ve been trying a ton of new supplements lately and have yet to find a gut health supplement that I love until this one.

It’s kind of an acquired taste - like coconut water with a twang. But it’s growing on me and I love the benefits.

@cayabiome - new staple in the wellness stack!
