I was thrilled to join the Kiwanians from New England & Bermuda at their District Convention this weekend. I led not one, not two, but SEVEN workshops over three days.

One sweet Kiwanian said, “This was the best workshop I’ve attended in 25 years!”

Full circle moment for me. I met @jess_ekstrom when she was on CampuSpeak’s speaker roster early on in her career. I was a workshop facilitator for them at the time. Since, she started @micdropworkshop , her career has skyrocketed, she’s put out multiple books (including a new one next week!), and she helps thousands of women (like me) find their voice and get paid to speak.

I joined MicDrop Workshop at its inception in 2018. My career took off, but in a different direction. I travel the world creating content, speaking, & educating volunteers to help @kiwanis (and our members) have a greater impact on children around the globe. In the process, I’ve hired at least 20-30 women from the MicDrop group to help me do it.

Now, Jess is hosting her first ever Mic Drop Live conference and I get to join her to share my experiences hiring content experts, workshop facilitators and keynote speakers! I’m so pumped for this opportunity! by @lynsyleads

Just pausing for a moment to celebrate this. @kpho invited us to participate in this 5K last minute. We jumped on it. I prepared to do my normal speed walking thing while Kim and @anthony.eats.indy ran it. But then the race started…

Y’all…I ran. I ran over half of this race. I have two torn ACLs. Doctors told me I was too old, too fat, & not worthy of surgery. I have battled back. I’ve lost over 50 pounds. I’ve biked & walked & made myself stronger. And today, on a whim, I let my body prove it to me.

I’m not breaking speed records & frankly, I don’t care. I did this and it felt freaking good. I’m ready to challenge myself to see what else I’m capable of. Let’s do this!!

Also major kudos to Kim & Anthony for encouraging me & being at the finish line to cheer me on. Seeing their shocked faces as I RAN across the finish line was everything. It felt good to have great people to celebrate with. by @lynsyleads
