update time!!!!

as of recently, i am no longer co-owning or involved with ape & frog in any capacity due to personal reasons. this was an extremely difficult decision to make, and i am so grateful for everyone i've met through doing markets and events.

i'm excited to share my art again through this account and get back into doing what i love most!! :•) i have a lot of fun ideas planned for the future and i hope you will continue to support me & follow along with my art!! :•D!

I want to start off by saying that I never wanted to share this information publicly. Despite me begging to be left alone, and privately handling this matter, K’s actions have left me no choice but to publicly stand up for myself. I feel sick having to publicly share things that I've kept private even among my close friends. I have nothing to gain from this, I have so much else on my plate right now. I'm dreading their response to this and I'm dreading the attention this will get. There are bigger things going on in the world than this.

With that said, this is not “drama” to me. This is my reality and severe trauma we are speaking about, and I don't appreciate people treating this like gossip. I don't want to go into detail about the treatment I faced, but if I'm forced to make another post then I will do so with further proof.

it's world orangutan day!!!

i figured today would be a good day to share my latest illustration for my class! the assignment was to make a poster for a nonprofit organization, so i chose the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation ( @bos_uk)!! i really admire and respect all the work they do to conserve and protect the rainforests and wildlife in it. BOS focuses on the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of orangutans affected by deforestation, forest fires, poaching, and the illegal pet trade. one thing i love that they do is Jungle School! they teach orphaned orangutans the skills needed to survive in the wild, like being able to spot danger!

my illustration shows a bunch of different orangutans at varying stages of life, being taught and learning things like which berries to eat, how to climb and swing, and how to recognize danger! they are all learning and playing on a huge mother orangutan of the forest :•)

tried something new for this week's proverb!!! i had so much fun!!

"no matter how far a stream flows, it never forgets its origin."

a multimedia piece reflecting growth, transness, and nostalgia. i've done enough art depicting the struggles and traumas of being trans, and i wanted to make something that is more expressive of my current views of myself and my past. i spent too long being ashamed and embarrassed of my childhood, but now the memories of being a young girl are something that drive me and inspire me. the joy and pride that comes with being a child, growing up, and becoming someone that your childhood self would admire is truly something that i hope everyone can experience at some point. i hope u can all befriend ur childhood selves <3
