Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of a new year. Thank You for preserving my life, my family, and all that concerns me. As I step into this new year, I ask that You go before me and make every crooked path straight.
Lord, let this year be filled with peace, clarity, and divine direction. Remove every fear, anxiety, and burden from my heart, and replace them with faith, hope, and confidence in You. May every door You have ordained for me open with ease, and every door not meant for me remain closed.
Grant me wisdom in my decisions, strength in challenges, patience in waiting, and gratitude in all things. Let my efforts be fruitful, my relationships be healthy, and my purpose be fulfilled. May this year bring growth, healing, joy, and testimonies that will glorify Your name.
I commit this new year into Your hands, trusting that You will perfect all that concerns me.

In Memory of July 4th, 2014

On July 4th, 2014, my life took a turn I will never forget.

That day, i was on my way home from the School of Nasarawa State University, keffi. Traveling with one of my coursemates. We were headed along the Abuja road, passing through before Bingham University karu. At some point during the journey, we stopped to eat. I had been sitting by the door, but after the meal, my coursemate an elderly man asked me to switch places and sit inside. Out of respect, i agreed.

As we resumed the journey, we had a light conversation. He asked me where i was from, and when i told him Jos, he smiled and said he often come Jos. We exchanged contacts and continued talking.
Then, everything changed in a moment.

While trying to dodge some potholes along the road, the driver lost control of the car. The vehicle misread the road and somersaulted. Tragically, my coursemate the man who had asked me to switch seats—died on the spot. I sustained internal bleeding, injuries, and but by God’s mercy, I survived.

It has been 11 years now, but that day remains clear in my memory. I learned a deep lesson: never take obedience or small decisions for granted. If I had been stubborn and refused to switch seats, perhaps I would not be alive today.

I give all the glory to God for sparing my life. Not because i was better, but because of His grace.

May the soul of Mr. Hosea rest in perfect peace—not just rest, but rest with the Lord.
