“Resilience does not always manifest as a cry of strength or a heroic act. Sometimes, it takes the form of a steady gaze, a gesture shared between friends, or a memory that refuses to fade. This work brings together to open perspectives on how individuals within their communities, personal histories, and chosen families- transform pain, fear, or marginalization into something that blossoms.“Small flowers crack concrete” is more than a metaphor, poetic image or a borrowed lyric - it is a declaration. It speaks to how fragility can be radical. how tenderness is an act of resistance. Each piece can weaves together the ways people, guided by their own convictions, have learned to rebuild themselves, to hold one another, to crack open structures that once seemed unbreakable.One of the works hold darkness - a shadow, a rupture, a quiet scream. They speak from the side of resilience that begins in anger. grief, or disillusionment. Like the yin and the yang, these opposing forces coexist: rage transforms into movement, tension gives way to creation. In that turning, something new emerges not in spite of the darkness, but because of it.Here, resilience is not an abstract concept but a lived experience: art as testimony, as language, as refuge. This part of the exhibition doesn’t seek to impose a single narrative, but rather to open a space for multiple interpretations of what it means to resist, to adapt, to transform - and above all, to bloom.Because regardless time, small flowers crack concrete.
