Adventure Game Background Art: Expedition Azcana

I created all large location paintings for the adventure board game "Expedition Azcana". The story leads the players deep into South American rainforest, all the way to fantastical and mysterious ruins, trying to find out more about legendary ancient technology that's supposed to be hidden in their depths.

The setting and important gameplay elements in the scene were provided by my client, and I was allowed to use my own style in the execution of the paintings.

A little witchy corner I created some time ago. There are many things I enjoy about all seasons, but I think fall/autumn will always be my favourite. 🍁🍃🍄

Other than having fun, my goal with this was working a bit on my 3D skills while still using what I do best (2D painting) in the process.
