I'm proud of myself for getting back into the swing of things with my movement & light workouts this morning. I had a slight knee injury a few months back that kind of put a pause on things outside of my normal movement/walking and light stretches. I made a decision to pick back up on things starting this morning. I'm noticing that there are still a few limitations with regard to certain exercises, but Im moving and it feels great. Today I was able to comfortably do a few things. My routine: 10 min meditation/prayer 10 min on the vibration plate 3 sets of 15 leg lifts (each leg) 5 min on squats (10 second holds at each one) 3 sets of 10 arm lifts & rotations (10 each side lifts, behind the back, above head) 10 standing toe touches 5 minute cool down with 10 toe touch/back stretches (sitting down) Thank you to my Sister @_beautifulweirdos for helping to make sure I stay accountable to myself with a check-in this morning! 💜 Had me a couple mugs of hot tea and added some cucumber salad made with fresh cucumbers from the garden at @justdianafaye 😋 Now time for some journaling and reflections before I shower...✨️ Bonus - I'll be giving myself a dance break after I journal ( Private Party by @indiaarie because who y'all canceling) 😆 SIDENOTE/SHAMELESS PLUG: yall see this beautiful yoga mat 👀 courtesy of @bodistry_ who will be joining us this month for Self-Care Sunday with some Poolside Yoga on July 26th! #LATEPOST So this past Saturday we celebrated our Sister Surviving one of the most traumatic times of her life! Being in this space with all of these amazing humans, reminded me of how home feels! How love feels when you allow yourself to marinate in safe spaces. How beautiful life can be even in the midst of breaking apart piece by piece, and how real it can get out here in this world, but how none of it has the power to break the strong hold that community and family creates when the intentions are genuine and filled with love! Knowing that your village and community is so solid, you couldn't even break the bond if you tried! I'm so amazed at how God/Universe has found countless ways to keep on blessing me on this journey. Meeting @ksaff23 and @the_poems_of_ross was not, in any way by accident. This connection was intentional and necessary, and I'm beyond grateful to have these beautiful people in my life! @ksaff23 ..Sis! I hope you know and feel the love all around you. Thank you for inviting me to be with you for this amazing event and for trusting me to say the right things! I love you more than you'll ever know and I'm so proud of you for keeping it all together and never giving up on yourself or on US. Your journey is and will always be an inspiration to us all! My oh my how the time flies when you're enjoying life! WE MADE IT TO JULY FAMILY AND MORE FUN IS ON THE HORIZON! My fav event for June at @macallanonross was definitely the pool party! I was able to collaborate with the office management team to bring something beautiful to all the residents. This year the annual Pool Party was combined with a school supply drive for the kiddos as a way to give back to our community! BigThanks to @artistsalapts and @macallanonross for helping to make this possible and creating a space for all of us to enjoy, bond with our community, and strengthen our relationships MuchLove to @djkodakentertainment for keeping the summertime vibes flowing throughout the entire event and to all my artist friends and new community friends for volunteering their time to make sure everyone had a great time by helping with setup, clean up, face painting, serving, donating, and showing up! Thank you all for everything!
