So slight change of plans due to a coaching change at USCA I have decided to stay home and continue my academic and athletic career playing D1 softball at Norfolk State University!

I want to thank Coach Morgan for helping with my recruiting process all over again and helping me to stay calm in a stressful situation. I want to thank my dad for taking me on more visits and for going through the process all over again with me. I want to thank my entire family for being in my corner and supporting me in my decision. I want to thank Coach Tat for giving me the opportunity to come prove myself and play for her. I’m so excited and grateful for this opportunity!

Most importantly I want to thank God for giving me the talents and abilities he has and for watching over me and being there for me during this entire situation. Everything happens for a reason and God has yet to lead me down a road I shouldn’t go!

It’s hard to put into words what these last 5 years of my life in this program have meant to me.

I’ve grown up in this sport since I was little from playing baseball starting at age 4-12 then switching to softball and playing that. Whether it has been baseball or softball a ball has always been in my hand since day one. I use to swear I would never play softball and that I hated it but now I couldn’t imagine my life without it.

Poquoson softball has been a huge part of my life and the biggest part of my high school career. It’s brought me my closest friends and countless memories I will cherish forever. This year, my senior year, specifically has been the most memorable season of my life. I am truly thankful for Poquoson softball and everything it has taught me and given me. It brought me another family, a family that isn’t blood but a group that loves one another on and off the field more than anything. This program is going to continue to be amazing in the years to come and I know they will be holding that state championship trophy next year because our heart and talent will only be stronger.

Thank you to my teammates for being there for me in good days and bad days. You are one of the most special groups of girls I have ever met and I love all of you endlessly. I will be back to watch all of you, and I know you are going to kick butt next year. Thank you to my coaches for being more than just coaches and for loving all of us endlessly. Thank you for pushing me to be better and helping me grow not just as a player but as a person. I love all yall.

Although my career at Poquoson is over my softball career isn’t so on to my next 4 years because I’m just getting started!
