I had the privilege of attending the New York premiere of Exhibiting Forgiveness and to celebrate the incredibly talented Titus Kaphar and everyone else that helped to create this masterpiece. This film is changing lives. The phenomenal performances by these actors is starting conversations that have been ignored generation after generation. To have been even a small part of it, it’s been an emotional and rewarding experience. I cry every time I see this film no matter how many times I watch it. To top it all off, I got to experience this with my mom as we celebrated our family, tears and all!! Do yourself a favor and get out and see this movie!!

Sundance 2024 ❤️❤️❤️
How amazing it has been to be in the presence of such greatness. I'm beyond grateful to have been able to experience this with family!! And so proud of my cousin for processing the good and the bad in his life and creating such a masterpiece in Exhibiting Forgiveness. This powerful film serves as a reminder that forgiveness is not about the person that wronged you, it's about allowing yourself to let go of hurt and pain from the past so you can have a better future with the people who deserve that from you. To everyone involved in bringing this beautiful story to life, thank you!!! For every gem and piece of knowledge you dropped on me, thank you!! From being on set to seeing it premiere for the world to see, an unforgettable experience!!

Bringing Billie to life over the last 5 weeks has been one of the most rewarding, challenging, and transformative experiences I’ve had on stage.
Her story carries so much weight and being able to tell the story of this black woman through her pain, her struggle, her brilliance, and her longing to simply be seen has left a lasting mark on me; not just as an actor, but as a human.
I’m incredibly grateful to @dr_q_sizzle for trusting me with Billie, to the ancestors that were with us every night, and to the amazing cast and crew for creating such a beautiful and loving space to tell her story. I’m so proud of the work we were able to do together and grateful I got to bring her story to life in such a special space at The Festival Playhouse.
I loved getting to know Billie. I loved her mind. I loved her fight. I loved giving her a voice.
But I’m also gonna be real…
Ya girl is READY to take Billie off. 😂
Billie went through so much, and there were days when it was hard to leave her at the theater. I had to remind myself that I was telling her story, not necessarily carrying it as my own.
I’m proud of her. I’m proud of us. And I’m incredibly grateful for this experience.
Now… Billie, baby... It’s time for me to let you go. 🥲✊🏾❤️
