🎁🎄⭐ Christmas 2026 at Lytham Hall! Tickets Now on Sale! ⭐🎄🎁

It's that time of year again! From November 24th, our exquisite Georgian Hall will be dressed from top to toe in festive lights, tremendous trees, and stunning, themed decorations!

This year's theme is "Lights, Camera, Christmas!", where our carefully curated decorations will take you straight into the movies, immersing you in scenes inspired by your favourite Christmas films.
Of course, the phenomenal model Christmas village will be there, too, transforming an entire room into a winter wonderland!

📅 This event runs from 24th November 2026 to 3rd January 2027, every day except Mondays.

There is no booking fee for this event, parking is free, and under-5s go free!

Tours will be available during the day (11:30am - 4pm) and during evenings (5pm - 8pm).
Booking is only necessary for the evening tours. During the day, simply show up and pay at the door.

🕗 Five time slots are available for evening booking:
5:00pm, 5:30pm, 6:00pm, 6:30pm, and 7:00pm

You can show up at any time within your 30-minute time slot. Again, if you are coming in the day, there is no need to book; simply show up between 11:30am and 3pm. (Last entry is 3pm although the Hall will remain open until 4pm.)

Please note, evening tours do not run as often as daytime tours. For example, there are no evening tours during opening week. Full terms and details can be found on the booking site or our website.

🍷 Each evening, the twinkling courtyard and café bar will be open, serving mulled wine, beers, hot drinks, and bratwurst sausage (with vegetarian and vegan options available).

⭐ Volunteer Spotlight - Chris Blackburn⭐

Chris has been volunteering at Lytham Hall for 18 years, where he has done everything from felling trees and mowing lawns to purchasing vital machinery, organising sponsorships, and assisting with huge maintenance projects.

The Woodstore was one of Chris's first major projects. The money made from the dangerous trees he felled, split, dried and then sold for firewood (just £4 a bag!) was the only source of income they had for buying new equipment and machinery.

He was also a key figure in maintaining the main drive before its recent resurfacing. He gained sponsorship from Colas, who helped provide the tools and equipment needed to maintain the road before professionals could be hired to permanently fix it.

With Lytham Hall being a charity, Chris purchased much equipment to help the volunteers complete necessary maintenance around the grounds, including a 4-wheel drive lawn tractor to help with chippings and gravel paths, and STIHL equipment to clear verges. He also developed a programme to provide safe walking paths around the grounds.

In 2016, Chris applied to the Charity Commission for Clifton CIO to be approved to assist with the financing of equipment to help the Grounds Volunteers with their work. This enabled the Hall to claim Gift Aid and the refund of taxation (25-40%) towards machinery costs, servicing, maintenance, and other savings.

“Our next project is to remove the soil bund generated from ditch clearance on Ballam Old Road,” said Chris. "Once cleared, we hope to plant wildflowers on the banking, which can be flailed seasonally to help attract wildlife and leave an open view from the front of the Hall down the East Prospect and across the farm fields.”

🏅 Sixth Gold of the Year for Greg! 🏅

What a year it's been for the team at Leafy Lytham, as last week they won their sixth gold medal of the year, this time at Harrogate Autumn Flower Show!

This weekend, they're at their final show of the year, RHS Malvern Autumn Show 🍂🌷

🕥 Greg's Garden Hub here at Lytham Hall is open every day, 10:30am - 4:30pm, so pop on down and see what the team has on offer this autumn.

⭐ Room Spotlight: The Main Bedroom ⭐

This room was John Talbot and Violet Clifton's bedroom from 1908.

The furnishings here are typically late Victorian and Edwardian, which represent the style of John and Violet's younger years. The embroidered headboard is in the style of Jacobean crewel work.

🧵 The patchwork quilt is made of cross-stitch panels designed and created by pupils at Hall Park Primary School in 1990.

📜 When the Hall was built, but before the woodland was developed, the view from this bedroom's window would've stretched all the way to the sea. This view was protected by a Clifton covenant, which forbade building on this land. Today, this stretch of land includes Lowther Gardens and Lytham Cricket Club.

⭐ Learn more fascinating tales of our Grade I listed house and the colourful Cliftons who lived here for 350 years by taking one of our esteemed House Tours. They're available every day, 12pm - 4pm (although check the website to confirm they're running on the day of your visit.)

❤️ Volunteer Spotlight: Kay and Andrew ❤️

Kay and Andrew started volunteering at Lytham Hall in May 2022. They are most often found running the Lytham Hall Shop, where Kay's experience in retail and finance comes in very handy!

In addition to keeping the shop running smoothly, they regularly man the Ice Cream Parlour and help out at many of our indoor and outdoor events, all year round.

When the shop moved to its new location in late 2024, they were instrumental in the transition, just as they are instrumental in moving and organising literal tonnes of stock over the Christmas season.

Kay and Andrew arrived in Lytham five years ago as strangers to the community. That changed when they attended one of our Christmas Tours and bumped into our Raffle Queen, Liz Reddy. Liz convinced them to get involved and join the Lytham Hall family, and we are very thankful they did!

"We volunteer because we love the place," Andrew said. "It's a big part of our lives now. It's taken over a bit, but we really enjoy it so it never feels like a chore."

Thank you, Kay and Andrew, for everything you do for us here at the Hall. The place wouldn't be the same without you ❤️

A new exhibition is now on show at Fylde Gallery titled 'Echoes of Coast and Land', featuring works by local artist Ken Roberts.

The Gallery is free to enter, and can be found up the stairs by the entrance to the inner courtyard.

🔍 Can Your Kids Solve the Mansion Mystery? 🔍

Hidden around the top two floors of the Georgian mansion are 18 mysterious cards, each with a number and a letter on them 🐞🐑

While parents enjoy 350 years of history inside our beautiful Grade I listed building, the kids can search the rooms for these hidden cards and try to solve the riddle.

All children who manage to solve the mystery get a free lollipop 🍭

You can also get a free help sheet upon entering to assist you with solving the riddle as you go.

🕵️‍♂️ For older children, we have a free Family Tour Booklet full of fascinating facts, questions, and items for you to find as you tour the Hall together.

Bring the whole family and explore the finest Georgian House in Lancashire.
