I have always imagined Yumi carrying a tiny lantern.
Not because she isn't afraid of the dark...
But because she hopes its little light might help someone else find their way home.
When I saw your beautiful colorings of this page, I realized something.
The lantern may belong to Yumi...
But every one of you has given it a different light.

I’ve been wanting to colour this adorable page by @lytinyworlds for such a long time 🩷

Yumi, the little bunny, has the cutest wings ever and such a beautiful little face 🌸🎀🐰

I absolutely loved colouring her, and I already can’t wait to colour more pages from this artist 🩷

If you take a closer look at my coloring pages, you might notice something interesting: Yumi is a little different on every page.

In some, she looks a little older and more thoughtful, while in others, she’s tiny, almost like a little baby. Sometimes her smile is wider, and sometimes there’s something more serious in her eyes.

And it’s not only about Yumi’s mood. When I draw by hand, I’m a little different every time too. My mood, the music playing nearby, and the thoughts running through my head all influence the way I draw in that moment.

So it’s not just the mood of the drawing that changes — Yumi changes a little too.

And I couldn’t draw her exactly the same way a second time. That, to me, is one of the little bits of magic in hand-drawn art. 🌿

Where have I been all summer? 🌿

Many of you probably noticed that I haven’t shared many new illustrations or posted very often over the past few months.

From February to May, I drew a lot, spent every day on social media, completely absorbed in the process, and all my energy went into graphics, markers, and my tablet.

And then summer came… and I just switched off. ☀️

At first, I tried to make myself keep going: “I need to draw, I need to post!” But then I realized: I hadn’t stopped creating.

I had simply moved my creativity from my tablet to the outdoors!

All summer and into early fall, I was “drawing” in the garden, around the yard, and at home: fixing things, planting, building, painting, spending lots of time outside, and simply soaking up the warmth.

And I realized something important about myself: I really feel the change of seasons.

Warmth and sunshine are a time for being outdoors, making things with my hands, and creating a cozy space around me.

But now the days are getting shorter, and rain and cool weather are becoming more common, and I’m feeling that familiar feeling coming back. I want to curl up under a blanket, pick up my markers, turn on my tablet, and disappear into new cozy little worlds again.

I didn’t lose this summer. I was simply filling myself back up with it. ❤️

And I’ve really missed drawing! Very soon, we’ll get back to our cozy evenings of creating together.

🌸 Part 2 of coloring my NEW Set 3 page!

(Did you see Part 1 where we colored the fairy wings? Check my Reels to catch up!)

Today, let’s color a soft, glowing cloud frame using alcohol markers.
Creating a frame around your illustration is such a cozy way to make the page pop! For this magical sky frame, I layered pastel shades to get a soft 3D effect without bleeding through the paper.

🌸 Palette used:
Ohuhu G220 (soft base shadow + final depth over pink)
Ohuhu R080 (gentle blush)
Ohuhu RV280 (deep pink accents)
Ohuhu RV030 (layering for cloud volume)
White gel pen / acrylic marker for stars 🌟

💡 Pro-tips:
For volume: Apply color in two uneven layers! The second layer creates natural shadows and soft cloud volume.
For deep shadows: Don't be afraid to re-apply G220 right over the finished pink layer at the end — green over pink creates the most beautiful contrast!
For bright stars: Let the marker ink dry completely before adding white details, or use an acrylic marker for maximum opacity.

Part 1: WINGS
How to color soft, glowing fairy wings using alcohol markers ✨

For these wings, I used five different shades to create a smooth, delicate gradient without overloading the paper.

🌸 Palette used:
- Ohuhu G410 (soft base shadow)
- Ohuhu R120
- Ohuhu RV280
- Ohuhu RV300
- White gel pen/acrylic marker

💡 Pro-tip for bright stars: If your white details look dull or get lost in the marker ink, let the paper dry completely first! Then add a second layer with your white gel pen, or use a white acrylic paint marker (like Posca) for maximum opacity and that vibrant glow 🌟

Look what I found today! 😳

A little dried morning glory flower was lying on a spider web, and there was a tiny feather right inside it. 🌸

And the funny thing is, no one put it there. The feather was just carried by the wind, the flower simply fell… and somehow they ended up meeting like this.

Little coincidences like this make me so happy. It feels like the chances of something like this happening must be one in a million.

And I hope each of us gets our own “one in a million” sometimes — something that seemed completely impossible, but then somehow just happens. 🪅

Today I met a real little underground architect. Just look at those paws - they’re like perfect little shovels for digging secret tunnels. 🥹

It’s amazing how many little things are happening right around us that we never even notice.

Don’t worry, our little guest was safely returned to his dark underground home right after our little meeting. 🤎
