10 years.
a decade ago today life changed a lot, from my grandma passing, to attempting my own life, & my late aunts birthday. had absolutely no idea how much july would rock me, had no idea how much life still had in store for me. i really didn’t want my life to end. I wanted the pain, the hopelessness, & the life I was living to end.. yet choosing to stay was the greatest decision I never thought id get to make

if you told 19y old me where id be today, i wouldn’t have believed you.
i wouldn’t have believed id find people who love me for exactly me, discover passions that make me feel alive, fall in love for the first time, travel literally everywhere, chase dreams that once felt impossible, or find a purpose worth waking up for

i definitely wouldn’t have believed id find love for bodybuilding right after, then somehow randomly become a DJ, stand on stages, learn to create music from her own heart, re-find her passion for music, or have the courage to keep betting on herself

life didn’t magically become easy. I still battle anxiety & depression, question myself, and have seasons where I feel completely lost. but healing isn’t about never struggling again. it’s learning that your hardest moments don’t get the final say

10 years taught me that we all have a past, made mistakes, carried things that felt too heavy. but none of us are permanently defined by our worst day

if you’re reading this and everything feels impossible, please hold on a little longer.
bc there are people you haven’t met yet, places you haven’t seen, dreams you haven’t discovered & versions of yourself you haven’t had the chance to become

im grateful for every high, every low, every lesson, every person who’s walked into my life, & every closed door that led me somewhere I never expected

yet here I am today still growing, healing, learning, dreaming, figuring life out 1 day at a time… & im genuinely grateful I stayed
