Hi, my name is Kimahrijana Wallace, and I am truly honored to share that I have been inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Clark State College.

First and foremost, I want to thank all of the leaders, officers, and those who came before us and paved the way so that we could walk this path today. Your dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence have created opportunities for students like me to grow, achieve, and be recognized.

Being a part of Phi Theta Kappa means more to me than just an academic achievement. It represents hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to becoming the best version of myself. This honor motivates me to continue striving for excellence, not only in my education but also in how I serve my community and support those around me.

I am grateful for this opportunity and proud to be part of a community that values scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship. I look forward to continuing this journey, growing alongside my peers, and making a positive impact.

First and foremost, I want to thank God from the core of my heart.
Nobody knows the countless prayers, devastations, and obstacles I’ve faced—especially on a spiritual level. The battles I’ve fought, the tears I’ve cried, and the strength I’ve had to summon just to keep going... it’s all been a journey that only He truly understands.

Following God as a young person is not easy. If anything, it’s just plain hard. It’s a constant battle. How I should live, how I should react, how I present myself, and so much more. But with the right village around me, the right wisdom, and most importantly, letting God lead me, I’ve found myself in places I never thought possible. Places I didn’t think a simple girl like me, someone who struggles, sins, and fights quiet battles, could ever reach.
Yahweh, You are a miracle worker. You surpass everything. No one is greater than You.

Psalm 27:14 - “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
This verse took me a long time to truly learn. I had to fight past my pride, ego, and desire for comfort in the flesh to really understand what it means to wait on Him. But His timing has never failed me. Not once.

As I step away from something I’ve known my entire life, I’m filled with bittersweet emotions—but even more so, I feel incredibly accomplished.
Because I know just how hard I worked to get here.
School was never just “school” for me. I truly love learning. I love connecting with people and making a real impact. It’s always been about more than grades. It’s been about purpose.

That’s why I’m so proud to say I maintained straight A’s, a GPA of 4.0 and cumulative of 3.8 , completed College Credit Plus courses—including Anatomy and Physiology—earned my CCMA, CPT, CPR, and BLS certifications, and received multiple awards along the way.

Let’s not even talk about the countless hours I spent studying every single day. I even took my work to work. Some called me a nerd. Some said I was smart. Others said I’d never make it.
But God said different.

I had a plan—but His was bigger, better, and right on time
I survived and that’s all that matters
