Look at me, mama… I’m finally the King you always wanted me to be!

What a journey this has been. From the first post to the very last lap, I gave this campaign everything I had, and I couldn’t have crossed that finish line without the people who stood beside me.

To my entire band family, thank you for showing up, supporting me, and making this experience unforgettable.
To my NJROTC family, thank you for always having my back.
To my beautiful Queen, Makaylah, I’m so grateful I got to share this moment with you.

To Zuri, Gracie, Lily, Mari, Tristan, Michael, Niya, Kim, Anthony, Ren, KJ, Destiny, Jada, and Tayla, thank you for every bit of love, encouragement, and support throughout this journey.

And to Torey and Bosco, thank y’all for stepping into the race with me. I have nothing but respect for ybs.

To anyone who walked away from last night feeling like they lost, remember this: a result does not define your worth. Be proud of yourself for having the courage to put yourself out there, take a chance, and give it your all!!

And to EVERY SINGLE PERSON who voted for me, reposted, shared a video, liked a post, said my name, encouraged me, or simply believed I could do it, this win is for you too!!

I started this race wanting to be your Homecoming King. I finished it as your Homecoming King. Richland Northeast, thank you for choosing me.🖤🏁 by @m.aarkell

Today was the end to a picture perfect day. From Head Drum Major and Vice President of the Band, to President of Science National Honor Society, to becoming a Junior Marshal (Top 10%), to becoming a staff member of the NJROTC program, to Vice President of the Student Body, to Vice President of National Honor Society, to being a Mock Trial team member, a Horizon Magnet ambassador, and also a CavPlex student. I pledge to lead this school with honesty, integrity, and humility.

I’m beyond proud of every position I hold, and I can’t wait to bring something completely new to Richland Northeast High School.🧡💙 by @m.aarkell
