As we wrap on Freshman Year, I want to highlight some people who made it extra special. by @m.b.mcrae

Yesterday at 8:45 AM, it was announced that Jacksonville University would be cutting much of it's art department. Every music major is now gone.

While admittedly not affected by the cut, I was there the whole time and I'm amazed. The people I met yesterday, and the emotions I've felt are nothing I've felt before.

This is what they think is worth nothing. So in response, all day, as well as last night, the now former music majors at JU put on a concert as a way to show all those people who think the arts aren't worth anything that no matter what they do, the music will continue on.

My heart goes out to everyone effected, you're all truly amazing and I'm behind you every step of the way. So please, keep playing until they hear your song.
