The show brings together a stellar line up of artists working across installation, moving image, sculpture, performance, painting and print to create responses to this unique historic location in the heart of South East London.

The exhibition is also open on the 9th August 10 till 5pm. In the afternoon from 13:30 there will be artist talks!

Thanks to everyone who came to the Wildlife in need fundraiser screening at @redhousemuseum last night. Was a great turnout and nice to catch up with everyone involved with the charity. Though a bloke in a giant bird suit did tell me the world was going to end in 28 days, 6 hours, 42 minutes and 12 seconds. #donniedarko #wildlifeinneed #animalrescue by @m.g.langston

This last year I’ve been making a film with the volunteers at Wings/Wildlife in Need lead by Lynne Parker showing the amazing work they do at their aviary for injured wild birds and animals near Bournemouth Airport. I’ll be showing the film in a charity screening at the @redhousemuseum Christchurch on Thursday 17th April at 7pm. #dorsetwildlife #wildlifephotography #wildlifeinneed #documentaryfilm #dorset #wildlife #movingimage by @m.g.langston

‘Pyramids in Peterborough’ planning permission, personal freedom and social convention meet after-life provision in this real-life suburban experiment. 3D modelling and a series of phone calls between a would be latter day Cul-de-sac Pharaoh and the unwitting participants in his proposed journey to the Afterlife. 4:02 single channel video 2025 #contemporaryart #movingimage by @m.g.langston

Thanks to everyone who came to my show ‘Tokens’ at the Avenue Shopping centre Bournemouth this week. It was nice to chat to so many visitors and staff at the shopping centre about the British high street and share ideas on where community, technology and peoples genuine curiosity to engage with new ideas could take our town centres - many of which are struggling, as was evident talking to people during the show who have known the area for years. Also nice to explore the great tradition of seaside based cheeky humour and satire and there’s plenty of that still going strong here. art#contemporaryart #southwest #bournemouth by @m.g.langston

The dappled golden light of the Avenue shopping centre this morning as the clouds parted and the dust settled over my exhibition ‘Tokens’ in the Container unit, it’s all about retail, satire, currency and dissent, on 10am till 4pm tomo. #contemporaryart #southwestart #installationart #sculpture #fineart by @m.g.langston
