my first baby officially graduated from 8th grade and will be going to high school starting this fall 🥹😭 i literally cannot comprehend this let alone comprehend that my baby is a teenager??

this is an emotional milestone for me. i know it’s just 8th grade but iykyk how much i really went through advocating for casey the way i wish i had someone advocating for me and how much shit i had to take from shitty teachers and a failed system who refused to give casey the patience and understand he deserved and was entitled to you’d understand.

but to the teachers/staff that really saw casey and rallied and fought for him, stood by my side, and kept encouraging me to never stop being his advocate and to keep lighting fires under everyone’s ass - i love you and owe you everything. the types of teachers that make real differences in today’s world and i hope you inspire more teachers to do the same. it’s thanks to you guys that casey has the tools to be able to advocate for himself and be resilient in the next stage of his journey.
