Another Great PG headed to Sac City.. Help us welcome Mikey Root to the family!! ..You feel Mikey Root’s presence the moment you walk into any gym he’s playing in. An undersized point guard who plays with an oversized heart, he guards baseline to baseline, sideline to sideline with relentless defense that proves size doesn’t matter. With Jason Williams “White Chocolate” like offensive flair he’s exciting to watch & play with. The way he cheers for his teammates is infectious.. He has an unmeasurable love for the game, we were told Mikey played so hard at times he’d had to be taken out of games cus he’s overheated …& he’s ready to bring that energy to Sacramento City College. Welcome to the Panther family! 🐾 @m1keyy.root by @m1keyy.root

Unsigned Senior Mikey Root went to WORK at the West Coast Showdown this past weekend showcasing his ability to score it at all 3 levels, as well as get his teammates open. 👀

Mikey Root
5’8” PG | Del Oro 🏀
Class of 2026
Small guard, big pressure. Real scrappy—plays with heart every possession. True point guard who can run the show, get buckets when needed, and lock you up full court. Will score on you… and guard you 94 feet the whole game. 💯

He’s #NXTUP⏳
