I know I haven't posted anything on here in a long time, but here's a new merch design I did for the band @the_antibodies that should be available on a few things by next year. I tried to come up with something that captured the vibe of the band and something that had an iconic look like the Mars Attacks aliens, but was still its own thing. We call this critter "BOB" and you'll probably see a few more pieces of art with him on it somewhere down the line.

Also, I'm going to try and post more on here. The past few years were mentally and creatively draining (as I'm sure most people can relate) and definitely put me in a funk where making artwork didn't really feel important in the grand scheme of things, but I've been (slowly) digging my way out of it and working on some more stuff. So hopefully more art in the future 🤷‍♂️
I'm also thinking of doing a bit of "rebranding" on my social media presence to better encapsulate my interests and hopefully encourage me to post more...hopefully.

Sorry about the long winded post and thank you if you read this far!

Also, HAPPY FRICKIN' HALLOWEEN!!!! 🎃🦇🤘☠️

I got this first volume of Midnight Mystery in the mail over the weekend, and I'm loving the oversized format and all the extra goodies that came with it! I picked up the single issues, but this is the definitive version of the comic, and well worth checking out again!

If you're a fan of horror or even Batman the Animated Series (which this book shares the same visual flair), you're going to want to check it out and @iwantmystery on Instagram!

Hopefully everyone is getting into the spooky season mood! To help you on your way, here's a guest pin-up by @okcoreyyy (Sharknife, Peng!, Sun Bakery) with an alternate color version to boot!

I've been a fan of Corey's since Sharknife, so this is a real (Halloween) treat to get him to do a KotU pin-up! Corey has a versatile style rooted in manga, but uniquely his own with energetic layouts and eye popping color palettes. His talent isn't confined to just comics either, as Corey has opened up a successful pin and print offshoot called "Coastalvania" ( https://coastalvania.storenvy.com/ ) combining his love of comics, video games, and all manner of pop culture into an exciting blend of products!

Want to see more of Corey's art? Look for "okcoreyyy" on your social media of choice and dig in!

Got this in the mail just in time for Halloween! I pre-ordered the new album "Permadeath" by @super_monster_party and it came with all these spooky extras along with a retro style video game to boot!

If you like your music on the metal side and dig classic video games, give them a listen! If you're looking for something new to listen to for Halloween, give them a listen on Spotify!

I know I haven't been on here much lately (feeling motivated to make artwork has been a bit hard these days with everything going on in the world), but I thought I'd share some commissions I had done for my King of the Unknown comic showing those characters in different artist's styles. Also, it's the spooky season, so let's see some monsters and shit!

This latest guest pin-up comes from Piers Hazell ( @piershazell )! Piers is known for doing horror themed art and is a perfect fit for the King! The scan of this doesn't even do it justice, and the original with its lush marker work needs to be seen in person! You knocked this one out of the park Piers! I love it, man!

I also included some past sketches Piers did of the King as a bonus (and because they kick ass)!

I have another commission I'll post at the end of the week, so until then, stay spooky!

Hey, hey! The "Evil Dead" song that uses this piece of art dropped the other day by the band @the_antibodies , so I can post this for everyone to check out!

Being a HUGE fan of Sam Raimi's classic Evil Dead films (especially "Army of Darkness"), this was a really fun piece to work on! Also, The Anti-Bodies are one of my favorite bands, so I jumped at the chance to work on this when they asked. Also, the song kicks ass and is a perfect punk tribute to those films! How could I pass that up?

Make sure to give it a listen at: https://theanti-bodies1.bandcamp.com/track/evil-dead?fbclid=IwAR29egXZjwnEg_spVpUnunecH82qT_-pcjO16F1S2DeVdUXuItclHjbyEpo
While you're on their Bandcamp page, check out their other songs too because they're freakin' great! If you're looking for some spooky punk tunes, you will love it! .

I may not make artwork as much as I used to, but I still make art...sometimes! Case in point, I recently created this cover for a comic horror anthology by Marta Tanrikulu that you can check out at https://www.drivethrucomics.com/product/314085/Reality-Shift
I tried to go for an old EC Comics vibe, but with a bit of a modern spin to it. I had a lot of fun working on this cover though, and it makes me wish I had more time to work on artwork these days!

I have a new guest pin-up for King of the Unknown this week, by the amazing Cee Raymond @ceeraygun ! Cee has been doing some great work with his comic "The Wendell", and a plethora of mini-comics that have a cool "Twilight Zone" vibe to them.

For this King of the Unknown commission, Cee has the King going up against some crazed murder hornets that would be at home in a classic B horror movie. I can just picture a whole film with King taking on a nest of giant, mutated, murder hornets in the Nevada desert!

Cee also provided these sweet behind the scenes sketches he worked up in preparation for the pin-up!

For more of Cee's fantastic work check out his Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/CeeRaymondArt/ .

I’ve been commissioning some pin-ups for my King of the Unknown comic that I’m going to be sharing online over the next few weeks.

The first pin-up is done by @treebeerdy himself, Kelly Williams (“A Letter to Jo”, “The Dark”)! Kelly went Marvel Team-Up with this one, and paired the King with Kelly’s fast driving NASquatch to create the ultimate paranormal hunting duo! These two will definitely be taking care of business!

If you’d like to check out some more of Kelly’s work, give his website a look at: https://treebeerdstuff.com/
and pick up his comics at:
https://www.comixology.com/Kelly-Willia…/comics-creator/8403
And you can also find him under his “treebeerd” handles on social media as well!

Hey, the world is a horrible place, but I had a new King of the Unknown page go up on Friday, so...the world is still a horrible place--but! But here's something to read to at least pass a few minutes of free time while you're stuck inside. Head on over to kingoftheunknown.com to check it out!

A new King of the Unknown page went up over this past weekend at kingoftheunknown.com in case you missed it (you probably missed it), so check it out if you get a chance! It's been a while!

When I brought the website back with the new, revamped look, I had planned to stay on top of regular updates and keep things on track, but I’ve been finding that harder than I had hoped. Between working two jobs that don’t leave me with any full days off during the week, being tired all the time from said two jobs, and seeming to be perpetually sick with one thing or another all winter, getting any comic work done has been an uphill battle. That said, I chip away at things whenever I have the free time and don’t feel like dropping dead. I’ve been working on the next few pages after this one, so hopefully I’ll have those for you to check out sooner rather than later.

I appreciate those who have stuck around and have been enjoying the comic and thank you for being patient between the long wait from page to page. It means a lot to me that you’re still there and reading this!
