Another beautiful @m2tm_brum comes to a close, and we couldn’t be prouder of @atarkaofficial , who fought off some serious competition to secure the win last night, and have secured their most deserved place at @bloodstockopenair 2026!

I did quite a lot of big emotional thank yous on stage last night, but honestly it’s a massive group effort and so much love and friendship holds the whole thing together so thank you again to our crew, volunteers, judges, venue, every single band who took to the stage, and the wonderful Birmingham and midlands metal community who show out time and time again. Your support means the world to us!

A huge shout out to my absolute rock @adam_dakesis , who doesn’t get any of the spotlight, but deserves all the praise in the world for keeping everything working seamlessly behind the scenes over the past six months.

Now begins the countdown to the main event! Cannot wait to see Atarka dazzle on the Newblood stage - see you down the front!!! 🫶🏻🤘🏻🩵 taken in The Flapper by @m2tm_brum

Tonight was an absolute dream, a sold out crowd, 5 phenomenal performances and so much love the room was about to burst at the seams!!

Thank you to @mystiekofficial, @vindictivebanduk, @denied_legacy and our 2025 winners the amazing @mantis_defeats_jaguar for putting on absolutely blinding performances. Our love and support will follow you all wherever you go. Also a shoutout to our past winners @namelessmusicuk and @kenseiband who came to prove that this is not really a competition, but a place for community where lifelong friendships and networks are made and kept.

Didn’t get a ticket to support your faves @m2tm_brum At @theflapper? Have no fear! The Midweek Mosh will be live streaming the final right here on Instagram as we find out which Birmingham band will make their way to @bloodstockopenair !

You’ll be able to watch all the live sets, and I’ll be interviewing the bands, the judges (if they’ll let me), the organisers, and basically anyone I can get my hands on throughout the night.

Featuring an incredibly stacked line up of @atarkaofficial @mystiekofficial @denied_legacy and @vindictivebanduk, followed by what I know will be a really groovy show from @mantis_defeats_jaguar, I’ll be making sure you don’t miss a moment.

This weeks #throwbackthursday hits us right in the feelies! Uncovered a scared piece of Atarka memorabilia!! The last time we played the grand final of M2TM SEVEN YEARS AGO 🤯🤯
Now we gear up again to play the final of @m2tm_brum in just over a weeks time!!! We couldn’t be more humbled to have played sold out shows at every stage in the competition! We’re not for one minute suggesting that we’re the sole reason why but you guys turning out the way you have has been a huge contributing factor and we do not take that for granted!!! Thank you all so much for your support and for selling out show after show!!!
We’re ready to win this thing!! Are you ready Birmingham?

Incredible scenes at @theflapper tonight for our second semi final!!!

Huge performances from all 5 bands (and our amazing guest headliners @namelessmusicuk 🩵) but only two could go through to our grand final, and tonight that hard earned victory goes to @atarkaofficial and @vindictivebanduk 🤘🏻 taken in The Flapper by @m2tm_brum
