Visited NYC for the first time with two of my absolute favorite people in the entire world @patm.60 and Aunt Nancy, seeing the sights and going to Colbert was amazing.. After taking in Manhattan, we took a drive through the state of New York to the Syracuse area in October, just as the leaves were changing. The landscape was nothing short of a work of art. Got to finally meet cousins on Mom’s side I’ve never met @katesalanger @emily.salanger .. capped the trip off with an impromptu drive to Niagara Falls. So amazing. Love going places and cherishing every moment with a couple people I absolutely adore and love the most. by @m4ckm

I got to take the world’s best Momma @patm.60 to the first ever College Football Playoff game in Norman. We had a blast. What an incredible night in Norman, OK..

While the result really sucked, the atmosphere was better than I’ve ever seen it. The highs were extremely high and the lows were very low.

All-in-all it was a fun night and a great season. And when OU had the chance to host a College Football Playoff game, the University and Sooner Nation crushed it! So proud of my Alma Mater and alumni brothers and sisters.

The Program is in a great place, with a great culture, and great trajectory.

Until next season… We’re proud of you Team 131, you exceeded everyone’s expectations navigating the hardest schedule in the country.

My Quest for 500 bench fell a little short… I got to 475… matter of fact I got to 475 so easily that I tried to skip up… I failed. Another lesson in life, do NOT take the short cut. In the end it was my joints that couldn’t keep up. So I’m going to take a year off heavy lifting and try one more time next fall. For the time being, my personal best remains 475 lbs… after months of eating over 7,500 calories and 350 grams of protein spread out every single day… I’m excited to trim down from the current 270 pounds and begin again living healthy. Not just constantly supplementing to be as strong as possible. I tried my best but in the end the outrageous weight was just too much. I hope everyone can look at this and take a lesson away from it. That lesson: try your hardest to be the best you can possibly be, but don’t bite off more than you can chew. And if you do, accept your defeat and take to heart the lessons it forced upon you. Reach for the stars and if you fall short, accept it and learn. That’s what this journey has taught me. I thought I had the end goal absolutely made and in the end, I couldn’t get there. It was a very humbling experience. Live. Learn. Grow. by @m4ckm
