Some people might say I “ruined” this car. Tbh idgaf what they think, it’s my car 😂🤝 I spent two years building this car from bone stock, completely untouched to what you see today. So many long days, so many nights wrenching, spending the entire day at work, working overtime, working six days a weeks, just to come home and continue wrenching on this thing and not stopping for bed until 9pm covered in crap all dirty and sore, knuckles busted and bruised. It was all worth it though and it always will be. That’s what true passion looks like.

Listen closely and you can hear the beautiful rain🌧️V2 was just an idea in my head, that idea became a vision. I made that vision real, with hard work and dedication I brought that vision to life. It’s far from done still, my head overflows with ideas for this car. I brought this E46 home 2 years ago bone stock. Over the last two years I have been on a journey of rebuilding/restoring and modifying this E46. It has taught me so many useful skills, I have learned valuable lessons from it, and met so many amazing new people along the way. Truly grateful for everything and everyone in my life 🩶

The E46 is the absolute PEAK of bmw styling in my opinion, the body shape is modern but still retains a lot of the defining features of the previous generations. The E46 has a timeless design that has aged like fine wine and will continue to.

To be more specific, the E46 was the last 3 series with a GAS engine produced in the US with an oil dipstick, while proceeding generations traded it out for an electronically monitored oil system. There are diesel variants of the e9X with an oil dipstick and the e60’s also in the early models had an oil dipstick in the m54 version as well, but the e46 is the last GAS engine 3 series produced in the US with an oil dipstick. I already know some people are going to debate me on this but do your research 😂 that’s why I’m being specific and saying the last GAS engine in the US in a 3 series with an oil dipstick.

Building this car over the last two years has taught me skills and lessons I never even knew I was capable of learning. I am beyond proud of how far this car has come in the two years I’ve owned it and how much I’ve grown as a person along side it. Building this car taught me skills and lessons that are priceless and that go far beyond just the garage. It’s easy to judge through a screen but most can’t even begin to comprehend the journey that me and this car have been on together and it’s still the beginning. This car means everything to me, I’ve poured my heard and soul into this car, no it’s not a custom engraved and plated bay 150k build but it’s my build and I have done virtually everything to this car MYSELF, yes I’ve had help from some friends along the way which I am grateful for but this car taught me how to paint my own parts, helped dial in my welding skills, taught me patience, it was there for me when I was down and at a low point and it helped lift me up. Building this car helped cultivate a passion in me that was sleeping for a long time, it woke up a fire inside me that I didn’t ever know was that strong, it showed me that I’m capable of more than I even knew was possible, it pushed me and challenged me and helped me grow in ways that I never imagined. You have no clue what I have put into this car just by looking at it through a screen in these short videos, you really don’t. And not to mention the amazing people I’ve met along the way, to think that the work that I’ve done to this car has inspired others to do the same is the best feeling and truly a blessing, I am beyond honored to be able to inspire others out there to challenge themselves and grow as an individual and show them what is possible with passion and dedication. Because the people who judge just don’t understand, not only do they only see a small portion of the picture as to what’s gone into this car but there is a whole other side to it, the long days at work, working six days a week for months on end, working every Saturday on OT to build this car, only to come home and continue wrenching on it when I was tired, those who judge through the screen taken in Built not Bought by @m54nick

When I looked at V1 of my car I thought to myself, “all it would take to replicate this is some wheels and a carbon trunk and your car looks like mine” (if it came with factory mtech 2 bumpers which mine didn’t) and so when I set out to build V2 my goal was to make the outside of the car as unique as possible while still keeping somewhat of an oem plus look to it. To achieve that I paint matched as many parts as I could possibly think of and I added extra flake to basically every part I painted like you see on my headlight housing in the video. Also I even made some parts custom, 1 of 1, like my side skirt splitters, they’re made for coupe, not sedan so I had to shape them by hand myself to make them fit the shape of sedan. Ultimately I ended up creating something completely unique to me that represents MY style and MY taste in cars, this car is ME personified. by @m54nick
